Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA) attacks FBI for Identifying Terrorists but defends IRS for Profiling Tea Party Leaders

Earlier this month, when Tea Party leaders testified in front of the House Ways and Means Committee about being profiled by the IRS, Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA) essentially told them that they should expect to be profiled when applying for tax-exempt status. Now, McDermott has complained to FBI Director Robert Mueller for the FBI having the gall to identify Muslim terrorists via bus ads.

Via McDimwit’s letter to Mueller:

I’m writing to express my deep concern with the Puget Sound Joint Terrorism Task Force’s publicity campaign for the U.S. Department of State’s Rewards for Justice Program. The “Faces of Global Terrorism” bus ad featuring sixteen photos of wanted terrorists is not only offensive to Muslims and ethnic minorities, but it encourages racial and religious profiling.

Of course, the only despicable individuals that would be offended by identifying terrorists are those who sympathize with them and the only despicable individuals who would not be offended by the IRS profiling Tea Party leaders are individuals who sympathize with those who target law-abiding individuals.

Jim McDermott is, therefore, doubly despicable.

Seattle Weekly has more.

Here is McDimwit earlier this month, blaming Tea Party leaders for having the audacity to complain about being profiled:
