Associated Press: Assad may not have launched Weapons

Yesterday, Barack Obama told a couple of adoring sycophants in Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill the following about the use of chemical weapons in Syria:

“We have concluded that the Syrian government in fact, carried these (chemical weapons attack) out.”

Assad: Obama makes him laugh

Assad: Obama makes him laugh

One day later, The Associated Press (h/t WZ) reported something a bit different:

The intelligence linking Syrian President Bashar Assad or his inner circle to an alleged chemical weapons attack is no “slam dunk,” with questions remaining about who actually controls some of Syria’s chemical weapons stores and doubts about whether Assad himself ordered the strike, U.S. intelligence officials say.

President Barack Obama declared unequivocally Wednesday that the Syrian government was responsible, while laying the groundwork for an expected U.S. military strike.

Of course, evidence we’ve produced indicates that it was the Muslim Brotherhood rebels who used chemical weapons.

Two nights ago, Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly again proved his ignorance about who the Muslim Brotherhood is while also expressing confidence in what the Obama administration is putting out. For example, on his August 27th show, O’Reilly asserted as a matter of fact that the delivery system for chemical weapons that were used couldn’t have been used by the rebels.

Uh, Bill. Look at this.

Retired Colonel’s Ralph Peters and David Hunt destroy O’Reilly in this exchange:
