Al-Qaeda Core officially implicated in Benghazi attack

First official acknowledgment that the Benghazi attacks last year involve at least two suspects who are members of “Al-Qaeda core”, which is based in Pakistan and led by Ayman al-Zawahiri.

The following post shall include EXHIBIT AG in our “Ironclad” Report. While this Exhibit constitutes the first official acknowledgment of al-Qaeda involvement in Benghazi, we also suggest examining it in conjunction with Addendum N.

Ayman al-Zawahiri: Now implicated in Benghazi attacks.

Ayman al-Zawahiri: Now implicated in Benghazi attacks.

Catherine Herridge of Fox News has published a news report that ties the Benghazi attacks of 9/11/12 directly to at least two members of Al-Qaeda who tie directly back to “Al-Qaedaa core” – which refers to its main leadership – in Pakistan. That leadership includes Ayman al-Zawahiri. Her report is being introduced as EXHIBIT AG.

Via Fox News:

At least two of the key suspects in the Benghazi terror attack were at one point working with Al Qaeda senior leadership, sources familiar with the investigation tell Fox News.

The sources said one of the suspects was believed to be a courier for the Al Qaeda network, and the other a bodyguard in Afghanistan prior to the 2001 terror attacks.

The direct ties to the Al Qaeda senior leadership undercut early characterizations by the Obama administration that the attackers in Benghazi were isolated “extremists” — not Al Qaeda terrorists — with no organizational structure or affiliation. {emphasis ours}

Herridge went on to report that Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, now says this connection to “Al-Qaeda core” has moved beyond conjecture. Said Rogers:

“You can still be considered to have strong ties because you are in the ring of operations of Al Qaeda core… There are individuals that certainly fit that definition.”

This revelation is highly significant by itself but when viewed in the context of Addendum N, we may have something extremely explosive. At the heart of this addendum are reports of recorded phone conversations that took place between then Egyptian president Mohammed Mursi and al-Qaeda number one, Ayman al-Zawahiri, who sits at the top of “Al-Qaeda core”. These conversations reportedly include discussions about releasing al-Qaeda terrorists into Egypt, to form terrorist camps.

These camps were formed in the Sinai and along Egypt’s border with Libya.

These developments may constitute the strongest evidence yet that the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, to include Mursi, was complicit in the Benghazi attacks.

It has already been established that Mursi’s Chief of Staff and al-Zawahiri are first cousins.
