Pastor O’Neal Dozier’s sermon after Jeb Bush Betrayal

By Ben Barrack

After reading Keith’s post from earlier today, I was reminded of Pastor O’Neal Dozier of the Worldwide Christian Center Church in Pompano Beach, FL near Fort Lauderdale. In 2006, he fought in a way Keith’s post encourages all of us to do. In particular, Dozier’s football analogy is a perfect fit.

You see, in the summer of 2006, Dozier was at the center of controversy because he was objecting to the construction of a mosque in his Church’s neighborhood. Much to his credit, he was rightfully concerned as the mosque was being built by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), a Muslim Brotherhood front group in the U.S. At the time, Dozier was also on Florida’s Judicial Nominating Committee; he had been appointed by then Governor Jeb Bush years earlier.

While on a local radio show, Dozier said that “Islam is a dangerous and evil cult”. Those words got back to Bush’s office and Dozier was forced to resign because of them.

Dozier is one of the ten men in “Unsung Davids”, a new and powerful book tells the story of ten modern-day heroes who fought tyranny and evil but are given little or no recognition. Click Here for more details.

The sermon above (audio only) was given by Dozier from his Church’s pulpit shortly after his forced resignation. CNN cameras were present and rolling as well. While Dozier didn’t mention Bush or any politician by name, it’s easy to understand that said politicians were who he was talking about. It’s also the type of sermon millions of Americans have been thirsting for. This sermon also took place during a time of high tension and war between Israel and Hamas / Hezbollah after the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers.

It should be easy to tell after listening to Dozier’s sermon more than seven years later that it has aged like fine wine.
