Congressman Sworn in with Quran admits to wanting his Party to Subvert Second Amendment

When Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) – the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Congress – was sworn in, he took his oath of office with one hand on Thomas Jefferson’s Quran. During an appearance on Bill Maher’s television show, Ellison advocated that his party betray that oath relative to the second amendment, saying, “I sure wish they would (come out against the second amendment)”.

From the Congressional Oath of Office:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

While Ellison attempted to advocate for “common sense” gun laws, a known left-wing tactic of deception, he let his mask slip when he said that the entire Democratic Party should subvert the second amendment.
