Muslims in Turkey infiltrated a church and got jobs babysitting the children of the pastor, named Emre Karaali, as a ploy with the intent of assassinating the pastor. According to the pastor, the would-be killers “accused me of disrespecting the Quran and of deceiving children’s minds.” As one report states:
Turkish police revealed the assassination plot to Pastor Emre in January of 2013 after arresting several of the conspirators. The pastor learned that more than a dozen people, including some who had infiltrated his church and babysat his children, had all been involved in a plan to kill him.
There were other conspirators involved in the murder plot, and as a whole there were thirteen Muslim who were planning the murder. But in the trial, only six of the defendants arrived in the courtroom, three of whom asked the pastor for forgiveness. The next trial is on June 19th. Pastor Emre said that he is holding fast to Isaiah 41:10, which reads: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (NKJV).
Violence toward Christians in Turkey will become more and more common, and soon the Turkish government will be making a great slaughter of Christians, just as they did under the Ottoman Empire.
