Three Hindu pagan savages in Mumbai raped two women, and were given the death sentenced. A Hindu politician named Mulayam Singh Yadav came to their defense and said:

Boys and girls… they had differences, and the girl goes and gives a statement that I have been raped. And then the poor fellows, three of them are sentenced to death in Mumbai. Should rape cases lead to hanging? Boys are boys, they make mistakes. We will try and change such laws…we will also ensure punishment for false cases

This is just one of the many evils that results in paganism and false religion. This is why the Scriptures leave not one ounce of toleration for heathenism.

Hence when the Israelites defeated the pagan Philistines, “David and his men burned them.” (2 Samuel 5:21)

When the Israelites worshipped Tammuz in the Temple God commanded:

Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women (Ezekiel 9:5-6)

There were many priests of Baal in Israel and God gave the command to Jehu, and ordered his men:

Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal. (1 Kings 10:25)

And Jehu “Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.” (1 Kings 10:28)

The laws that sentenced paganism to death are there for a reason: to prevent tyranny.
