Muslims tell British Prime Minister to Call the ‘Islamic State’ the ‘Un-Islamic State’

As the Islamic State / ISIS / ISIL / Da’ish was about to release a video of the beheading of British aid worker David Haines, British Muslims sent a letter to Prime Minister David Cameron. What were the contents of the letter?

Well, they want Cameron to stop referring to the group as ‘Islamic State’ and instead call it the ‘UN-Islamic State’, via the UK Independent:

A group of prominent Muslims has written to David Cameron to ask that he uses a different name for the group, and to lead a national debate on what it should be called.

“We propose that ‘Un-Islamic State’ (UIS) could be an accurate and fair alternative name to describe this group and its agenda – and we will begin to call it that,” the letter says.

Signatories to the letter include Sughra Ahmed, the president of the Islamic Society of Britain. Members of New Horizons in British Islam, the Association of British Muslims and the Association of Muslim Lawyers also signed the letter.

Using the group’s preferred name could help it radicalise yet more Britons, the signatories wrote.

Earlier this year, Sughra Ahmed became the first female President of ISB. According to Brigitte Marechal in her book about Muslim Brothers, ISB was created based on a partnership between Muslim Brotherhood and Jamaat-e-Islami. In Pakistan, the goal of Jamaat-e-Islami is to… wait for it… make Pakistan an Islamic State governed by Sharia.

As Shoebat.com recently reported, the annual U.S.-Islamic World Forum (US-IWF) held in Qatar each year (save for 2011) is the result of a suspect partnership between the government of that country and the Brookings Institute, a prominent U.S. think tank. The New York Times has even reported on Qatar’s coziness with Brookings. Individuals and groups with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood are in abundance at these forums. Sughra Ahmed was in attendance this year.

The saying, ‘fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me’ no longer applies to western leaders. They make Lucy’s football routine with Charlie Brown look like a cheap warm-up act. If lowly, out-of-the know citizens can see what’s going on here, so can the likes of Cameron and other world leaders.

In the case of U.S. President Barack Obama, he already ceded to these demands on national television, insisting that ISIS is not Islamic.

In 2006, after a plot by British Muslims to blow up planes headed to the U.S., then President Bush referred to the enemy as ‘Islamic fascists’. In response, CAIR became outraged over that term and Bush never used it again. Here is the one time Bush properly identified America’s enemy:

Cameron has an opportunity to make a strong statement by continuing to refer to the Islamic State as the ‘Islamic State’. Conversely, he will convey extreme weakness if he does not continue using the term.
