Fortune 500 Company Being Called out at NFL Game for Advertising on Al-Jazeera

The group that was behind the successful effort to pressure Lowe’s to pull its advertising from The Learning Channel (TLC) over that network’s airing a program entitled, ‘All American Muslim’ has another big company in its sights. The Florida Family Association is calling out AIG at an NFL game over the Fortune 500 company’s support for Al-Jazeera:

“AIG SPONSORS JIHAD TV” reads a banner being flown over MetLife stadium before the Giants-Texans game this Sunday intended to pressure the company to stop advertising on Al-Jazeera America.

The Tampa-based Florida Family Association is paying for the aerial banner. The FFA says AIG is the only Fortune 500 company that still advertises on the allegedly terror-friendly network.

FFA president David Caton told the Daily Caller he hopes the aerial banner will draw the attention of tailgaters.

“There is going to be lots of tailgating going on,” Caton said. “That is [who] we are really targeting.”

In addition to advertising on Al-Jazeera, AIG has long been identified as a company that participates in and actively promotes Sharia Compliant Finance (SCF).

Based on that premise, it would stand to reason that AIG would want to reach a Muslim audience through a venue like Al-Jazeera, which is based in Qatar.

Relative to the Lowe’s controversy, FFA was right to raise concerns, as Shoebat.com reported.
