Muslim Scholar Who Called For Murdering Jews Shows No Concern for Mass Slaughter but Saddened by Muslim Deaths

The views expressed by Syrian scholar Rateb Al Nabulsi in the video from the Muslim Brotherhood’s propaganda network Al-Jazeera posted below, should give pause to any U.S. politician who still thinks Syria’s rebels should be armed. Nabulsi bemoans the deaths of Syrians and dismisses the mass slaughter and enslavement of the Yazidis at the hands of ISIS. Nabulsi’s desire is the removal of Bashar al-Assad, whose regime is actually doing more to fight ISIS than anyone else.

Nabulsi is a familiar figure to Shoebat.com as he has been a longtime friend of Bassam Estwani, the former Chairman of the notorious Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, VA. For his part, Estwani spent many years currying favor with prominent U.S. politicians, to include Bill and Hillary Clinton when the former was President.

In this video, Nabulsi is clearly expressing support for a position held by Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan (via MEMRI):

Nabulsi obviously doesn’t much care about the savagery that’s being perpetrated against Yazidis by ISIS. As for the beheadings taking place in Syria, again, that’s primarily ISIS, which Assad is working to defeat.

Nabulsi’s words in the past demonstrate he doesn’t think much of the Jews either. In 2001, he said the following:

“All the Jewish people are combatants. They do not have a career that a military rank does not encounter: doctor, pilot, engineer, for example, is a tank commander. Every civilian citizen. They do not have a regular army; they have a reserve army, and all the people can fight, so this is essentially an entirely aggressive entity from A to Z. This is the Sharia ruling…”

During that speech, Nabulsi also referred to Estwani in Arabic, calling him an “entrusted friend” as Shoebat.com reported.

Estwani’s connections to U.S. politicians – and Nabulsi – should be very troubling indeed. Estwani sits on the board of the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), which has been very successful at lobbying U.S. Senators and Congressmen through its Executive Director Mouaz Moustafa.

Both Estwani and Nabulsi have advocated for interfaith dialogue but Nabulsi clearly has no interest in non-Muslims:
