ISIS Terrorists Take People Hostage as Prime Minister Says he Doesn’t Know Motive of the ISIS Terrorists

At the time of this writing, the situation inside a Sydney, Australia cafe is very fluid but one thing that’s known is that hostages were made to hold an ISIS flag in the window. This pretty much tells the world what’s going on inside the cafe:

Pictures showed a black and white flag similar to those used by Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria being held up by what appeared to be a staff member and another woman. Local media reports said the flag was the Shahada, a general expression of faith in Islam, a translation of which is: “There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

Yet, despite this very clear and obvious sign, coupled with what hostages who have escaped must know, Australia’s Prime Minister doesn’t know what the motive of the attacker(s) is.

PM Abbott: Not sure what motive of ISIS is.

PM Abbott: Not sure what motive of ISIS is.

According to a statement attributed to PM Tony Abbott wants Australians to continue living in denial (h/t JW):

“We have to appreciate that even in a society such as ours, there are people who would wish to do us harm, that’s why we have police and security organisations of the utmost professionalism that are ready and able to respond to a whole range of situations and contingencies including this situation that we are now seeing in Sydney. The whole point of politically motivated violence is to scare people out of being themselves. Australia is a peaceful, open and generous society. Nothing should ever change that and that’s why I would urge all Australians today to go about their business as usual.”

That is what is called vacuous leadership and dereliction of duty. When Islamic terrorists attack, the solution is not to tell people to ignore it. That is completely irresponsible from the leader of a country and is a major reason why westerners would rather watch ESPN than educate themselves. It’s a fatally flawed mentality that began in the days after 9/11 and moronic western leaders continue to advocate it.

According to The Guardian, Abbott also said:

‘We don’t know the motivation’

Prime minister Tony Abbott is addressing the media. He says the motivation of the siege is not known and calls it a “disturbing incident”. He said there are “some indications” it could be politically motivated.

Yet another example that illustrates why words from leaders matter. The truth is that Abbott knows exactly what the motives of ISIS are and that of course it’s political. Islam is a politically religious ideology. It’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has a PhD in Islamic Studies.

PM Abbott must have a PhD in stupid:

Perhaps he got his cue from Obama:
