Make No Mistake About It, If The US Government Wants To Force Us To Bow Down To Homosexuality, Then We Will Defy The Tyranny Of The State, For “We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:9)

By Theodore Shoebat

If the US government wants to force us to bow down to homosexuality and its insidious agenda, then we will defy the state, for “We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:9)

Numerous major Christian leaders in America, such as Franklin Graham, signed an agreement in which they assured the Supreme Court, that if homosexual “marriage” is accepted as a constitutional right, that they will defy the state and not obey their evil decree. With these words they said:

Our highest respect for the rule of law requires that we not respect an unjust law that directly conflicts with higher law. A decision purporting to redefine marriage flies in the face of the Constitution and is contrary to the natural created order. As people of faith we pledge obedience to our Creator when the State directly conflicts with higher law. We respectfully warn the Supreme Court not to cross this line.

We stand united together in defense of marriage. Make no mistake about our resolve. While there are many things we can endure, redefining marriage is so fundamental to the natural order and the common good that this is the line we must draw and one we cannot and will not cross.

They made some other quite truthful declarations, such as:

Neither the United States Supreme Court nor any court has authority to redefine marriage and thereby weaken both the family and society.

And:

Experience and history have shown us that if the government redefines marriage to grant a legal equivalency to same-sex couples, that same government will then enforce such an action with the police power of the State. This will bring about an inevitable collision with religious freedom and conscience rights.

Experience most definitely does show this. Just look at all of the businesses that have been persecuted because they refuse to participate in the demonic ritual they now call a “gay wedding.”

Christians must fight against this evil; we must cry out against this evil, with ferocity and zeal, until the enemy submits.

All of Christendom stands upon the words of the holy Peter, when he declared before a tyrannical state that desired for him to deny the Lord Who died for him:

We ought to obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:9)

Here lies the words of noble truth, here lies the words of liberty, here lies the words that make civilization. The world is in a constant battle, a war that manifests in the physical realm while arising above the temporal senses. To quote Maistre: “This world is an army, an eternal battle.” And surely is this the truth!

The battle is between Heaven and the demons; the arms are raised, the swords are unsheathed, and the cosmic forces rage, and the armies of darkness and the armies of light collide within humanity. Abel followed the ways of God, giving blood for forgiveness, but Cain followed the ways of the devils, rejecting the redemption of blood and thus rejecting Christ. And through his flesh did the devils work, capitalizing on his impulses, for he was very wroth (Genesis 4:5), and using them to slay his brother, the first martyr of the Church.

And now the forces of the inferno, possessed by the very devil that took Cain, wanted the Church to obey its commands, to reject the blood of Christ, to spit upon the holy sacrament that God created when He united under love Adam and Eve, to declare war against the most Holy Trinity, of which marriage is the closest image on earth.

But the Church is not to acquiesce, but rebel against such tyrants. And do not listen to the sycophants, who say that we must always obey the law, even if it is evil; for law is to always be noble, and never lawless unto itself. The Scripture says to obey the laws of the land, for those who disobey are “refusing to obey God.” (Romans 13:2) What disobedience to law would be disobedience to God, but disobedience against those laws that are righteous? “By me kings reign, And rulers decree justice.” (Proverbs 8:15) The Scripture does not say that it is by God that kings decree injustice, but justice. All just laws are from God, and in turn, all injust decrees are from the devil. All of law must be in accordance to justice, and any decree that is evil, is against justice and is of the devil’s influence.

We must therefore defy any edicts that force Christians to support the sodomites, for to do so is to defy Satan, and to acquiesce is to bend the knee to Baal.

Tell me, do you ever call a criminal lawful and a lawful person lawless? Never. Thus, law must always be noble. Any decree cannot be automatically accepted as law just because it is issued by the government. Many a time have governments created lawlessness. Imperial Japan, revolutionary France, the Third Reich, the Aztecs, and numerous others prove this. Yes, obey the law of the land, but never obey the lawlessness of the land.

If it were not for defiance against tyranny, then Christendom would have never been formed. Never forget that the founder of our Faith was put to death because He defied tyranny. He defied tyranny when He took up a whip and drove the tyrants from His Father’s Temple; He defied tyranny when He declared Himself the Son of God before a mob that frothed at the mouth for such sublime words; He defied tyranny when He said with stern voice “before Abraham was, I am” (John 8:58); He defied tyranny when He said: “I came not to send peace, but a sword” (Matthew 10:34); He defied tyranny when He trampled over Satan in the glorious battle upon Golfotha; He came to defy tyranny, for He came to be victorious over the father of tyranny, and “destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

The spirit of Christ is the spirit of war, and it shakes the very core of our souls and brings us to zeal. The spirit of Christ is the home of the Church, and for this do we say with St. Paul: “it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20). And in the Church, Christ — the Warrior of Heaven — lives. For as our Lord says: “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” (John 14:23)

Never forget that Christ lives in you; never forget that the greatest enemy of tyranny — the Crucified Savior — lives within you. His zeal is your zeal, and so let it increase as the afflictions of the devil increase, and let it guide you to rebel against the prince of this world. To obey God rather than man, is to follow the holy precepts over the slaves of the devil, and if it were not for valiant Christians who followed these words, then the seeds of Christendom would have never sprouted.

When the Christians of the early centuries were slaughtered and fed to wild beasts, it was because of defiance, and it was through this defiance that the light of the Faith radiated, and sparked the flame of intrigue within the gentiles. ‘What faith could stir within these people the will to suffer for it?’ they asked, ‘Who then is this Christ? For surely He must have the truth, that people are so willing to die for it.’ Such interest brought only more conversions, and it was because of defiance, and surely more martyrs were made.

The seed of the Faith was planted; it was watered by the blood of martyrs; the seed sprouted, and its roots were continuously nurtured by the anguish of the saints. But soon that seed would ascend the skies, and rise above what fantasies the heathens believed, and soon it would grow into a tree — and that tree was Christendom. Without defiance, you have no civilization; for the enemy of tyranny is defiance, and the absence of the latter means the existence of the former.

Christendom is a beautiful tree, a tree whose foundation is Christ, whose inspiration emanates from the valor of her saints and martyrs, whose leaves are illuminated through the radiating light of zeal — a zeal invigorated by the rays of love. When tyranny is beheld, it is the love of the Holy Warrior — Jesus Christ — that stirs within the soul the tenacity to defy, and declare with the Apostle: “We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:9)
