A British sniper in Iraq was in a fight with ISIS when a soldier’s worst nightmare happened- he ran out of ammunition and upon realizing this, six armed Muslim terrorists were closing in on him. The end seemed at hand.
Fortunately, for this soldier, he still had his Gurkha knife with him that he received as a present when he entered the service. The Gurkha Knife, also known as a Khukuri, is the ancient fighting instrument of the Gurkhas of northern India and Nepal, a group of elite soldiers known for their fearlessness and unwavering tenacity in battle, choosing death before surrender. They served extensively in the British army during the Raj in India, and have always been associated with valor. In the words of the late Indian Indian Army Chief of Staff Sam Manekshaw, “if a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either lying or he is a Gurkha.”

What ensued was an amazing fight that would make any Gurkha proud. Assuming that he was going to die anyway, our soldier in question decided he would try to take out as many as possible. He beheaded one jihadi, slit the throat of another, chopped the third up into pieces, and the other three that were coming after him fled in terror upon seeing the fate of their comrades:
And when he ran out of ammunition, ISIS fanatics got him on the back foot and attempted to capture him alive.
But in a massive turnaround, the defiant sergeant began hacking at the trio with a kukri.
The 27-year-old hero had been given the knife by a British Gurkha soldier before he joined the SAS.

“As they went to grab him he unsheathed his kukri and began slashing away.
“He decapitated the first gunman, slit the throat of second and killed another with a third blow. He then sliced away at three others.
“The IS gunmen fled in panic allowing the SAS soldier to carry the injured men to safety.
“He expected to be killed but thought he’d take as many of the enemy with him.
“When he was reunited with Iraqi troops they thought the he was seriously wounded because he was covered in blood but he explained that the blood wasn’t his.
“He cleaned his knife, grabbed some more ammo and then led another Iraqi special forces team into battle.”
Now that is the way to handle terrorists.
