Thankfully one of the girl’s relatives said something about this, and both her father and the pedophile have been arrested, but the fact remains that for these men, a little bit of food was worth more than the life of their own daughter:
A six-year-old girl has been forced to marry a 55-year-old man after her father allegedly sold her in exchange for a goat in Afghanistan.
Both the man, Seyed Abdolkarim, and the girl’s father have been arrested after a concerned relative raised the alarm about the wedding.
According to the father, who also allegedly received rice, tea, sugar and cooking oil for his daughter, he and his family were desperate for food and by selling his daughter he had one less mouth to feed. (source)

He also insisted that the new husband of the girl, named only as Gharibgol, had sworn not to have sex with her until she turned 18.
LOL.
But was he telling the truth?
After the wedding, Abdolkarim reportedly took the girl to a relative’s house in Firozkoh, in Ghor province, pretending she was his daughter.
But the concerned relative raised the alarm, insisting Abdolkarim was ‘undressing her at night’.
Actually, it is possible he was not lying when talking about having sex with her. Remember that in Islam, sex is defined as penetration. It excludes any and all forms of touching, including oral contact, and Muslim scholars have noted, citing the example of Muhammad, that a Muslim man may sexually relieve himself on the thighs of little girls, as a quick search of the term in Arabic (مفاخذة) yields a number of results:
So while the complete details are still not fully known, we know two things. First, this man has been stopped but only thanks to the efforts of her family. Second, this is will come to a neighborhood near you if Islam is allowed to take power over society.
