Ever since the beginning of this year the reports have been pouring in from across Europe and the Middle East- there is a mass move of God taking place as thousands of Muslim refugees are abandoning Islam and becoming Christians. Churches of all denominations- Catholic, Orthodox, Mainline and Evangelical- are reporting record numbers of Muslims asking to become Christians. The situation is so massive that church are expecting possibly millions of converts:
Numerous Syrian Muslims who fled their war-torn country and found refuge in Lebanon have converted to Christianity despite threats and incidents of attacks on new converts, according to a report.
George Saliba, Bishop of Syrian Orthodox Church in Lebanon, said he has baptized around 100 Muslim Syrian refugees since the start of the civil war in Syria in 2011, according to USA Today.
Abu Radwan, who fled the city of Homs in Syria and was baptized by Bishop Saliba in Beirut, was quoted as saying that Jesus appeared to him in a dream two years ago. “I started going to the church. I believed that Jesus was coming to help us, to save us.”
Bishop Saliba said the church accepts converts only after confirming that their faith is genuine.
Muslim refugees are turning to Jesus despite it being extremely risky. Radwan was once stabbed while he was coming home from the church. The attackers were Syrians from his own tribe. His wife still wears a hijab outside of church for her safety.
An evangelical church in Beirut, which was not identified due to safety concerns, also has several Syrian converts, according to the report.
“When I see a person wishes to be Christian, I don’t stop him, but we try to test him,” the pastor was quoted as saying.
The Constitution of Lebanon provides for religious freedom. However, thousands are coming to Christ across the Middle East, Voice Of the Martyrs Canada, which runs radio shows in the region, said in January.
“We are in regular contact with our FM stations in Iraq and have talked with many people who have family in the Middle East. Some of our Middle Eastern broadcasters have shared testimonies [about many turning to Christ] with us, which they hear directly from listeners when visiting there …”

Even in Europe, where Islam is on the rise again and Muslim are wreaking havoc on a daily basis, the fact is that many Muslims are leaving in Islam. In Austria, the Catholic Church alone has reported that it has seen double the number of converts, with almost all of the people being Muslim refugees from Iran or Afghanistan:
The number of adult baptisms in the Austrian Catholic church has more than doubled over the last year. The church claims the rise is due to a huge influx of migrants from Afghanistan and Iran converting to Christianity.
The Archdiocese of Vienna has announced that 254 men and women were selected for baptism after completing the rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA), taking part in a baptism ceremony conducted by Austrian Cardinal Christoph Schönborn Die Presse reports.The group of converts had to wait a year to be prepared for baptism – a recent move by the church due to the number of requests by Muslim asylum seekers for conversion.
The baptism ceremony was not opened to the public due to the fears of many of the converts that they could face retaliation from other Muslims or even attacks against their family, particularly those who come from Iran.
Cardinal Schönborn declared the day a celebration for the church, saying it was a , “a great and moving day for the Church of Vienna.”
“That they want to follow Christ and live in his fellowship is also a call to us – which we have the happiness and privilege of growing up in faith from childhood, but may have forgotten how precious this is,” he added.
Schönborn, who many see as a likely successor to Pope Francis, has made headlines several times in recent months. In September he said that many Muslims actively sought to conquer Europe for Islam. Three months later he slammed European politicians and their migrant policies, saying the migrant crisis had gone too far and that it was better to help migrants where they lived. Now it is true that the situation with Islam is very grave and dangerous, and that Europe today stands on the edge of another great war as Muslims invade. That said, never forget that God is always in control.
We have said many times that Europe is suffering an invasion from Islam because of her sins. We have also pointed out that many people who were born into Islam are there because that is where they were born, and that as God wants men to be saved, he is calling men out of Islam and unto His Son, and that is what we are seeing today, as God is calling a righteous remnant of Muslims out of Islam to know His Son and have eternal life with Him.
This is why the answer to the problems of Europe today is not from internal answers, but from Christ, who is The Answer. All that she has left is Christ because indeed, all Europe ever had was Christ and that is all she needs.
