Major Left-Wing Blogger Calls St. Catherine Of Siena An Intolerant Bigot And A Right Wing Extremist

Paul Newman famously said that “A man without enemies is a man without character.” Shoebat.com has made many enemies because of our unwavering commitment to following Christ and His teachings “in season and out of season,” whether popular or unpopular. We claim many who support our work at Rescue Christians in saving Christians from slavery overseas in Pakistan’s brick kilns, or from Mexican drug cartels that slaughter entire villages, or from the evils of Islamic terrorism. Likewise, we also boast of our many enemies who hate us for the same work we do. The more labels they give us the happier we are because it means we are making a real difference.

One of the families helped by us at  Rescue Christians, thanks to your efforts.

One of our most vocal detractors is a left-wing blogger named Kyle Mantyla, who is the “Senior Fellow” for the website Right Wing Watch (RWR). The site is a project of the group People For the American Way (PFAW), which is funded largely by the infamous international terrorist financier who has famously called himself God, George Soros. Kyle has been working with them since 1999.

Kyle Mantyla

We could care less what RWR or any other silly group who have already chosen to oppose us say. We just shake the dust from our feet at them and continue on. However, once in a while, you have to admire them.

On August 10, I wrote an article discussing Indonesia’s crackdown on the LGBT and how homosexuality is being used by perverse Western governments and their owners in business, industry, and finance as a tool to influence and overthrow societies for political control. In one paragraph, I noted how doing this is evil both because it involves a pursuit of power at all costs and it is an objective sin which Sacred Scripture and Tradition are clear that calls down the wrath of God. My last sentence really got Kyle’s attention, and he was kind enough to make it the lead title of his weekly “Right Wing Bonus Tracks” that he put on RWR’s front page:

Considering the National Socialist riots this weekend, we proudly made it to the front page, on the third item down.

The quote:

Finally, Andrew Bieszad of Shoebat.com declares that homosexuality “is an objective moral wrong, a blasphemy against God’s creation, and as the Bible states is a sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance because it is worthy of death as it is so wicked it even disgusts the demons of hell.” (source)

I find this particularly interesting because the words that homosexuality is a sin that disgusts even the demons of hell are not my words. It is the reason why I provided the link in the original paragraph as well as above.

Those words belong to St. Catherine of Siena, who said as follows:

“They not only fail from resisting this frailty [of fallen human nature] … but do even worse as they commit the cursed sin against nature. Like the blind and stupid, having dimmed the light of their understanding, they do not recognize the disease and misery in which they find themselves. For this not only causes Me nausea, but displeases even the demons themselves, whom these miserable creatures have chosen as their lords. For Me, this sin against nature is so abominable that, for it alone, five cities were submersed, by virtue of the judgment of My Divine Justice, which could no longer bear them…. It is disagreeable to the demons, not because evil displeases them and they find pleasure in good, but because their nature is angelic and thus is repulsed upon seeing such an enormous sin being committed. It is true that it is the demon who hits the sinner with the poisoned arrow of lust, but when a man carries out such a sinful act, the demon leaves.” (St. Catherine of Siena, El diálogo, in Obras de Santa Catarina de Siena (Madrid: BAC, 1991), p. 292)

For those who have never heard of her, St. Catherine of Siena was a Dominican nun during the 14th century and one of the greatest Catholic saints in history. Her life was defined by extreme piety as well as great accomplishments in multiple disciplines in ecclesiastical life. She was an academic, mystic, diplomat, stigmatist, political peacemaker, patron of the poor and imprisoned, known for her fasting and extreme penance, and lived and died a great saint. She is one of the six patron saints of Europe and 33 doctors of the Church, and was model for Catholic piety during her times as much as she is the same model today, for she had a reputation to speak “truth to power” and boldly proclaimed Catholic teaching to a society dying from sin.

I find it wonderfully ironic that Kyle chose to attack me over this particular quote because his attack on me is a direct attack one of the greatest Catholic saints of all time. It does not matter that in spite of the hackneyed shrieks from bloggers like him that criticize the Catholic Church for being “anti-woman,”  they are so eager to place a truly great woman who has accomplished far more that I or Kyle ever have combined into the same camp together because we are ‘intolerant bigots’ and ‘right wing extremists’ because we teach that the purpose of the Intestinal tract is to remove waste from the body, and that it is unnatural and unhealthy to masturbate on another person’s bowels. It was unfortunate that he did not go into further detail.

But one should be fair in that Kyle did not have time to list all of the other saints who we at Shoebat.com have also quoted on the evils of the LGBT. After all, this was just a short news bit for his readers to look at and stoke their daily dose of ire against us. However, I’m sure he would agree that Sts. Paul, John Chrysostom, Augustine, Bernardino of Siena, Peter Damian, and many more are also LGBT hating right wing extremists.

St. Peter Damian. Author of the Book of Gomorrah. He spent many years as a priest fighting against the LGBT in the clergy. His book is an absolute must read for anybody who wants to understand Catholic teaching on the LGBT.

At the same time, let’s remember too that RWR’s self-stated goal is to fight for “progressive values- equal rights, freedom of speech, religious liberty, and equal justice under the law for every American.” It is clear that Shoebat.com and by extension, the values espoused by the great Catholic saints are to be objects of derision and scorn, to be attacked and labeled as “anti-progressive,” “anti-free speech,” “anti-liberty,” “anti-equality,” and finally, “anti-American.” Instead, being true and good defenders of “American values” they support the LGBT and all of the open love that they have for satan and its minions, which explains why the church of satan says that at least half of its members are LGBT:

So thank you, Kyle Mantyla. We really don’t care about your opinions, but we’re glad that a man like yourself, who has spent the last two decades defending LGBT perverts and degenerates of all sordid types believes that our views at Shoebat.com are so unworthy of a place in society that they belong in the camp of the great Catholic saints of old.

Indeed, ad majoram Dei gloriam.

Satan is for the LGBT agenda and the perverted and vile sexual acts.

We will oppose the diabolical by stating we are TBGL — Totally Believing God’s Laws.

    • AMEN!

    • Kamau41

A BIG AMEN to that my brother.

  • You are doing something right when they attack and even defame saints of old.

Like the saying goes, “We have only begun to fight.”

    • Read tomorrow, for the second year in a row, there will be another 54 Days of Novena.

      Mobile site- http://m.ncregister.com/54175/b#.WZH0VD8pCEc

      Let’s do it!

      • Julie

Contacted my bishop and our Mater Dei radio affiliate…and friends about who are real good in getting the word out.

        This novena is so powerful.

And I like how we pray for a particular virtue at the end of each mystery.

        • I have been reading from the National Catholic Register, Catholic News Agency, in addition to reading from news on the Anglican front.

I think it is great that Catholics are sensing that we are running out of time and are appropriately responding.

          • Julie

            Yes!

We promoted the novena last year before the election. Our archbishop consecrated our diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary — again –…he is an associate of Cardinal Burke.

After 40 years of living in the midst of it all — secular and ecclesial….Christ has given me a break in my old years.

          • I don’t think it is a coincidence Trump, in spite of being deeply flawed, is our president as many, including myself, joined in with praying the Rosary. It was the novena last year that spurred me, as an Anglican, to pray the Rosary.

Prayer is our most powerful weapon in our arsenal and we should use it daily.

          • Kamau41

“Prayer is our most powerful weapon in our arsenal and we should use it daily.” Absolutely!!

          • Julie

The day the bus talk between President Trump and Billy Bush came on the last day of the novena….and we must continue to pray for him and his continual conversion.

More Anglicans and Lutherans are praying the rosary.

Do you know the 15 promises attached by Mary to the rosary? They are easily found online. There are promises to those who pray and spread devotion to the Sacred Heart of Christ….the King of our future world.

      • Kamau41

Let’s do it again. Joining in with you.

    • Brenda

Thank you Trevor, and to all the men here for being so brave. I find myself sometimes feeling a bit paralyzed emotionally and in shock and in tears at the lack of concern for Christians lives here in the states anymore, I don’t like what I seem to sense ahead of time, and what is most scary is those who will be thinking they are really doing good but will bringing in so much bad on so many people.

      • I know what you mean, Brenda. It’s like seeing the storm brewing on the horizon, you know it’s coming, and it just makes you suck in your breath.

  • filomena seiffert

I see America as the center of deviated gay and pedophilia, deviation totally against God’s law and nature’s law. I am sorry gays, this is the law. Some angels did rebel against their creator and they lost their place in heaven. Some cities let all perversion dominate them and they were destroyed with fire. We want you to be saved, please read the bible.

    • Julie

America is the only one to see the solar eclipse…depending on the weather and your location. We get 98% if no clouds.

  • Kamau41

As always, outstanding work widely exposing ALL evil along with the organizations and people who blindly supports them.
Absolutely love St. Catherine Siena, who is no doubt one of the Great Doctors of the Church, who fearlessly stood strong and fought against the forces of darkness/evil. Her powerful words also goes right along with the Great Pope St. Felix III, who also says:
“Not to oppose error is to approve it; and not to defend truth is to suppress it; and indeed to neglect to confound evil men, when we can do it, is no less a sin than to encourage them.”

    • Julie

Catherine is my patron saint…and she is the patroness of Italy.

Reading her in regards to the chapter on ‘Holy Church’….she definitely was one formidable woman and am glad I am not called to be a priest, in particular an ecclesiastic….she spoke with terror to them who sought human respect.

  • Julie

Thanks, Andrew for sharing words of St. Catherine of Siena….from her chapter on “Holy Church”.

I consumed alot of Catholic writings of saints — primarily Catherine’s, encyclicals, the virtues…when my children were young….don’t know now how I did it.

I have recommended her before without drawing to the particular passage you provided here.

  • 1Bobby8

Most definitely a badge of honor to be put in the same category as St. Catherine of Siena.

  • Kelly Ann

Completely given over to their desires.
