Make No Mistake About It: The Muslim Terrorists Who Ran The Jihadist Compound In New Mexico Is The Son Of A Very Influential Muslim Leader Who Is Tied To The US Government And Even To The Clintons

By Walid Shoebat and Theodore Shoebat

The United States, like the Protestant nations before it — such as Germany and Britain, during the anti-Catholic wars — backs, and has been backing, the jihad. The US will ‘fight’ the jihad, while at the same time backing the jihad. Lets inquire into the situation of Siraj Wahhaj, the father of Sirah ibn Wahhaj — the terrorist who has been taking headlines for his Islamist compound in New Mexico — in light of America’s support for the jihad.

Talk about the Islamic compound in which kids were trained to shoot up schools has been taking headlines. Sirah ibn Wahhaj was training children with assault rifles in a filthy cult compound in New Mexico with the aims of committing massacres in schools. Taos County Sheriff Jerry Hogrefe previously said adults at the compound were “considered extremist of the Muslim belief.” Authorities found what Hogrefe called “the saddest living conditions and poverty” he has seen in 30 years in law enforcement.

But here’s the thing, shoebat.com has — for years — been talking about Sirah ibn Wahhaj’s father, Siraj Wahhaj, and his ties with the US government. Siraj Wahhaj was an unindicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center attack in 1993. Wahhaj gained notoriety for heading the Brooklyn mosque attended by Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, who was convicted as the mastermind in the ’93 attack. Wahhaj is connected with Bassam Estwani, who is heavily associated with major US officials and government figures, including Hillary Clinton. Lets look into the connections of Estwani to see how well connected Wahhaj is.

As Shoebat.com has reported, Estwani serves on the board of the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF) which became a source of controversy last year when its Research Director – Elizabeth O’Bagy – was found to have a serious conflict of interest. Subsequently, as Shoebat.com reported, SETF didn’t handle the spotlight all that well. In addition to being funded by the U.S. State Department, the SETF also backed an anti-Semitic imam named Sheikh Ahmed Moaz al-Khatib to lead the Syrian rebels politically.

The name of Estwani’s mosque is significant because the term “Dar al-Hijrah” represents one of two spheres in the Islamic world. It refers to a place designated for immigrants to Islam. The other sphere is “Dar al-Harb” which refers to a place where people are at war with Islam.

In 2004, Al-Jazeera quoted Estwani as saying the following:

“Dar Al-Hijra Center in Washington has played a prominent role and was remarkable to educate patrons on the importance and the need to participate in the elections for the selection of the fittest and the closest to the needs and values of the Muslim community … The center of Dar al-Hijrah has good relations with some in Congress, whether Republicans or Democrats , and I have repeated visits to the center on several occasions , which was visited by the Republican candidate Tom Davis and he addressed the Muslim audience after Friday prayers that preceded the elections for the House of Representatives.”

Clearly, the efforts of Estwani included endearing himself to both Republicans and Democrats. Here he is flanked by Republican Congressman Tom Davis he mentioned above and Democrat Moran:

Rep. Tom Davis (L), Estwani, and Moran (R).

Consider that Estwani also met with the most powerful member of the House of Representatives at the time – Speaker Dennis Hastert. Hastert’s successor John Boehner has shown a propensity for either ignoring or helping the Brotherhood. He vehemently defended Abedin in the face of overwhelming evidence she’s connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. Senator Marco Rubio and Rep. Mike Rogers did as well. Boehner has also avoided appointing a select committee to look into Benghazi. John McCain’s passionate defense of the SETF and O’Bagy is another glaring example.

Bassam Estwani was the Chairman of the Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Virginia when then President Bill Clinton wrote him a personal note, as Shoebat.com previously reported. This is the same mosque that was once headed by major terrorist leaders such as Anwar al-Awlaki, and Mohammed Adam El-Sheikh who was formerly a Muslim Brotherhood member in the Sudan. Dar al-Hijrah is a notorious mosque that was visited by three 9/11 hijackers and Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Malik Hasan. In his note, president Clinton told Estwani that “all suggestions” Estwani had given to him – presumably in a letter Estwani presented to Clinton on March 9, 2000 – were ones that Clinton was “interested in” and that the President wanted to “follow-up”.

At the beginning of the note, Clinton appears to be telling Estwani to check back with Mary Beth Cahill and Ben Johnson, two Clinton aids at the time. In subsequent days, in an email from Maureen T. Shea to Cahill and Johnson, Shea opens by explaining why she was writing:

Note_about_Clinton_Note

This places Estwani at no fewer than two events with President Clinton.

After providing the three suggestions from Estwani that Clinton was “interested in”, Shea asks if the suggestions will work. One suggestion was to combine all three religious events at the White House in December (deceitful practice of Muslim bridge-building). The second had to do with getting Clinton to visit the Dar al-Hijrah mosque. The third involved a one-on-one meeting between Estwani and Clinton, which Clinton said was “ok to do”.

In another email by Shea a couple of weeks later, she gives a subordinate the parameters for a letter to Estwani in response to the suggestions he presented to Clinton:

Shea_email_033100

The verdict was in. Shea thought it a bad idea for Clinton to go to Dar al-Hijrah and a bad idea for a one-on-one meeting. This suggests that the hateful nature of the mosque – which would be home to Anwar al-Awlaki and visited by multiple 9/11 hijackers – was well known by the White House. That level of knowledge is not surprising. What is shocking is that Estwani would have as much access as he did. After all, the imam for Dar al-Hijrah from 1995-1999 was Mohammed al-Hanooti. In 1995, al-Hanooti had been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

The Chairman of the Dar al-Hijrah mosque, which was home to an individual implicated in the first World Trade Center attack, had access to President Clinton. That WTC attack occurred on Clinton’s watch. Another such co-conspirator is Siraj Wahhaj, who invited convicted terrorist Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman (Blind Sheikh) to speak at his mosque several times. As Shoebat.com has reported, Wahhaj’s links to that attack continue to strengthen. Estwani has proudly posted a photo of him with Wahhaj (we don’t ever recall seeing Wahhaj so happy):

In 2012, the Democrat National Convention held an islamic Jumah prayer in Charlotte, NC. The event was hosted by an entity that calls itself the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA).

The head of BIMA’s Jumah was Siraj Wahhaj and he is identified as “The Grand Imam” of the event. Wahhaj is on the board of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), has been a member of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and is tied to the Muslim American Society (MAS), a group founded by Muslim Brotherhood members according to the group’s Secretary-General in 2004 as well as from documents recovered, according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

Just weeks after the 9/11 attacks, Siraj Wahhaj and Imam Chebli shared a podium at a Muslim town meeting in New Jersey that had connections to Muslim Brotherhood front groups. The meeting was attended by US government officials:

There are more ties between Wahhaj and US government officials. In 2014, The US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO) held its inauguration in Washington, DC. Two of the speakers at the event were Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) and Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN). A prominent figure within USCMO is Siraj Wahhaj, and he was one of the speakers at the USCMO inauguration, alongside Ellison and Carson.

Wahhaj is also connected with the Jewish homosexual, Glenn Greenwald, who worked with Edward Snowden to release the names of Muslim terrorists who were being spied on by the NSA and the FBI, to essentially help them escape surveillance. As Investors Business Daily reported back in 2014:

It’s now clear that ex-NSA contractor Ed Snowden and his journalist sidekick Glenn Greenwald have an agenda beyond exposing spying abuses. They’re really aiding and abetting the Islamist enemy.

By releasing the names of several Muslim terrorist targets under surveillance by the NSA and FBI in a new expose — “Under Surveillance: Meet the Muslim-American Leaders the FBI and NSA Have Been Spying On” — Snowden and his mouthpiece Greenwald have tipped off the enemy and jeopardized major counterterror investigations.

In 2013, Greenwald spoke at a CAIR fundraiser in Los Angeles alongside known jihadist and unindicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center attack Siraj Wahhaj. In 2006, Wahhaj was the keynote speaker for CAIR’s 10th Anniversary Banquet. Here is the list of those who attended; notice how you have US officials present, including J. Stephan Tidwell, who was the Assistant Director of the FBI in LA:

Looking at all the ties that Wahhaj has with very influential people in government (Like Bassam Estwani, who is connected with the Clintons; Keith Ellison, Andre Carson, etc), one must ask: what are the odds? All of this shows one thing: the interconnections between terrorism and government. There is an example that is even more major than that of Wahhaj, and that is Ali Mohamed, the CIA operative who was working directly with people in the US government while at the same time training major Al-Qaeda militants. In 2006, Peter Lance wrote an in depth article for the Huntington Post on Ali Mohamed’s government connections and his workings with Al-Qaeda. He writes that Mohamed

enlisted in the U.S. Army and got himself assigned to the JFK Special Warfare School at Bragg. From there, as he stole top secret documents for his chief sponsor, al Qaeda’s No. 2 Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri, Mohamed commuted to New York City on weekends where he trained key members of the first WTC bombing cell and the notorious “Day of Terror” cell responsible for a plot to blow up the U.N. and the bridges and tunnels into Manhattan.

In 1991 Mohamed moved bin Laden and 100’s of al Qaeda terrorists from Afghanistan to Sudan, set up al Qaeda’s training camps in Khartoum and literally wrote al Qaeda’s manual of terror. In 1993 he trained members of the al Qaeda contingent that downed two U.S. Blackhawk helicopters in Somalia, brokered a meeting between bin Laden and the head of Hezbollah and personally took the pictures of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi that Osama bin Laden himself used to target the suicide truck bombs that killed 224 in Kenya in 1998.

the two bin Laden “offices of origin” — the FBI’s New York Office (NYO) and the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the SDNY, allowed Mohamed to operate with impunity for years.

My most astonishing, findings involved Patrick Fitzgerald, the former head of Organized Crime and Terrorism in the SDNY, who had allowed Ali to remain free as early as 1994 even though he named him as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Day of Terror case.

Most shocking were two face to face meetings Fitzgerald had with Mohamed in 1997. After the first meeting in April “Fitzie,” as Cloonan called him, declared Ali “the most dangerous man” he’d “ever met” and announced that “we cannot let this man out on the street.”

But Fitzgerald did, even though in October of 1997 Ali told him that he loved bin Laden and didn’t need a fatwa to declare war against the U.S. where he’d become a naturalized citizen. Fitzgerald had convicted blind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and 9 others for seditious conspiracy two years earlier, yet he permitted Mohamed to operate in the open and didn’t arrest him until after the simultaneous truck bombings in Kenya and Tanzania on August 7th, 1998 which followed Ali Mohamed’s 1993 surveillance with surgical precision.

Fitzgerald and Cloonan then took more than 18 months to get a plea bargain out of Mohamed, who never truly betrayed al Qaeda. They kept him in Manhattan Federal jail for 9 months on a John Doe warrant for fear the media would get wind of their negligence and actually prevented him from testifying in the Embassy bombing trial in 2001 because of the embarrassment that cross-examination of Mohamed would cause the Bureau and the Justice Department which had allowed bin Laden’s top spy to work as an FBI informant.

Worse, while they had Ali in custody for three years, Fitzgerald and Cloonan failed to extract the 9/11 plot from him, even though they knew that the plot had commenced in 1994 in Manila, almost four years before Ali’s capture. As the man who had lived with bin Laden and personally trained his security detail, Mohamed knew every twist and turn of it.

In February of 2001, Fitzgerald went on to prosecute three relatively peripheral players in the plot and cemented his reputation by convicting them of an act of terror that his own “bin Laden squad” had failed to prevent. The fourth operative, Wadih El-Hage had been on the FBI’s radar since 1991. Ali Mohamed had stayed in his Kenyan home in the mid 90’s as they plotted the bombings. Another agent in Fitzie’s squad Dan Coleman, had searched El-Hage’s home a year before the bombings and found direct links to Ali Mohamed and yet Fitzgerald failed to connect the dots.

…key Feds who covered-up probative al Qaeda intelligence in 1996 remain in senior positions at Justice. Fitzgerald is U.S. Attorney for Chicago and Special Prosecutor in the CIA leak case. Valerie Caproni, who supported Fitzgerald’s 1996 burial of evidence of an active al Qaeda cell in New York, is now the FBI’s general counsel.

Dietrich Snell, a key SDNY prosecutor who served with Fitzgerald, covered up crucial evidence of FBI negligence before the 9/11 Commission and flushed key links between al Qaeda and the New York cell of blind Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman that were turned-up in the year 2000 by the Army’s Operation Able Danger.

So you have all of these instances in which American government operatives worked with Ali Mohamed, even though he was the top spy for bin Laden and even though he was a major conspirator behind the 9/11 attacks, and in which Dietrich Snell, a prosecutor, covered up for Omar Abdel Rahman, the very terrorist leader who worked directly with Wahhaj. Wahhaj was with the al-Farook Mosque, or as retired NYPD Detective, Michael Zotto, recently said: “Siraj Wahhaj Sr. was observed later entering the Al Farooq mosque on Atlantic Avenue, the mosque linked to the creation of Al Qaeda HQ in the U.S.” As Steve Emerson wrote:

“The First Conference of Jihad was held by [Sheikh Abdullah Azzam, Osama’s mentor] not in Peshawar or Riyadh or Damascus, but in Brooklyn, at the Al-Farook Mosque on Atlantic Avenue.”

Within the mosque was established the Al-Kifah Center, which would be used by the CIA to recruit Islamic fighters to combat the Soviets, in what is known as Operation Cyclone. Ali Mohamed, the very one who worked with the Blind Sheikh (the terrorist leader who worked with Wahhaj) worked very close with the Al-Kifah Center, a CIA conduit for Mujahideen recruitment. Andrew Marshall of the Independent wrote a piece on the subject of the Al-Kifah Center, writing:

Yet Mr Mohamed, it is clear from his record, was working for the US government at the time he provided the training: he was a Green Beret, part of America’s Special Forces. …Mr Mohamed met the men at the Al-Kifah Refugee Centre in Brooklyn’s Atlantic Avenue, a place of pivotal importance to Operation Cyclone, the American effort to support the mujahedin. The Al-Kifah Centre and the associated Afghan Refugee Services Inc were raising funds and, crucially, providing recruits for the struggle, with active American assistance.

So we know that the al-Kifah Center was used by the US government to recruit jihadists to fight the Russians; and that the al-Kifah center was in the same mosque — al-Farooq — which has ties with Wahhaj; and we know that another US operative, Ali Mohamed, was working with the al-Kifah center, and this is the same Mohamed who was a major factor behind al-Qaeda and 9/11. What we know from these facts is that the US has its fingerprints on them.

This also shows something much deeper: the connection between Operation Cyclone — in which the US backed the Mujahideen to fight the Russians — and Operation Gladio, in which the US backed Nazis to combat the Russians. Both of these operations were about combating the Russians by backing very evil people — Islamists and Nazis. Both Operations Cyclone and Gladio supposedly ended in 1990. Yet, the same types of policies continued on. For example, in the 1990s the US and Germany backed the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) who were both Islamists and Nazis who boasted of their relations to the Albanian SS officers back in World War Two. Part of the NATO operation in Yugoslavia was to back not just Albanian terrorists, but Bosnian ones as well. The al-Kifah Center was used as a recruitment place for fighters to go out and do jihad in Yugoslavia. As Andrew Marshall wrote:

In December 1992, a US army official met one of the Afghan veterans from Al-Kifah and offered help with a covert operation to support the Muslims in Bosnia, funded with Saudi money, according to one of those jailed for assisting with the New York bombings. But that effort quickly disintegrated, leaving a great deal of bad feeling.

Regardless of the titles or the names of operations, the same entities within the US governments were and have been involved in these types of destructive activities of backing up Nazis and Islamists. When the US was working to use Turkey as a major player for the Gladio operation, the Americans wanted to use the violent pan-Turkist movement to foment anti-Soviet hatred. The American government decided to use a key figure within the racist pan-Turkist circle, Alparslan Türkeş. During the Second World War, Turkes was a Nazi operative who worked as the contact for the German Nazis in Turkey. Turkes was convinced of the Darwinist and eugenist race theories of the Nazis, and in his speeches he would quote from Hitler’s Mein Kampf. When we speak of fascism, we usually think of Benito Mussolini emulating Hitler. But what we rarely talk about are the Muslim Turkish nationalists who also emulated Hitler. Look no further than to Nihal Atsiz. Around the same time as Turkes, there was another Turkish nationalist leader by the name of Nihal Atsız, who obsessed over Hitler so much that he, like the Alt-Right fanatics of our time, wanted to look like him.

In the 1980s the director of the CIA, Bill Casey, was pushing for the arming of the Islamists to fight the Soviets. As journalist John Pilger writes:

“CIA director William Casey had given his backing to a plan put forward by Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI, to recruit people from around the world to join the Afghan jihad. More than 100,000 Islamic militants were trained in Pakistan between 1986 and 1992, in camps overseen by the CIA and MI6, with the SAS training future al-Qaida and Taliban fighters in bomb-making and other black arts. Their leaders were trained at a CIA camp in Virginia. This was called Operation Cyclone and continued long after the Soviets had withdrawn in 1989.”

The United States, like the Protestant nations before it — such as Germany and Britain, during the anti-Catholic wars — backs the Jihad. Casey is an interesting individual since he was involved with the very person — Roger Robinson — who helped create the Center for Security Policy, the very think-tank that helped formed the Counterjihad movement in the Brussels Summit in 2007, hence why a branch of the organization is called “the William Casey Institute.” Frank Gaffney, the leader of the Center for Security Policy, writes that the “national stature” of the William Casey Institute “has been achieved in no small measure thanks to the Institute’s former Chairman, Hon. Roger W. Robinson, Jr.” Gaffney further recounts that Robinson was “Senior Director of International Economic Affairs at the National Security Council, where he worked closely with Bill Casey in formulating the policies that helped destroy the Soviet Union.”

So the anti-Islam movement is tied to the very CIA head who backed the jihad, which goes to show you what we are dealing with, and this a serious case of controlled burning. Back the Islamists, and then create nationalist movements in the West from the fear of Islamists. Its playing both sides; help to engineer the Islam threat, and then use it to bolster nationalism. This is exactly what Gladio was about: cause terrorist attacks (such as the Bologna bombing massacre), blame the Soviets and then use such propaganda to spark nationalism in Europe. They are doing the same thing now, but with Islamic terrorists.

This leads us to our conclusion. Yes, the authorities caught the younger Wahhaj leading a terrorist compound in New Mexico, but his father is tied to US officials and is quite friendly with them. What if this sting operation is just another show to get Americans rallied up behind their government? The CIA was backing the very center — al-Kifah Center — that Wahhaj was working with to back the Afghan Mujahideen.

We can see how the US government has been backing the Islamists, Nazis and Turkish nationalists. Its what Benazir Bhutto told George Bush back in 2001, “You are creating a Frankenstein.”

And thats exactly what the US is doing: creating a Frankenstein, with the US backing Islamists, supporting the rise of Turkey and pushing Germany to increase its military spending.
