Ukrainian Air Plane With 180 Passengers Crashes In Tehran

A Ukrainian passenger plane holding 180 people crashed in Tehran, according to 5 News:

A Boeing 737 plane carrying 180 passengers and crew crashed shortly after takeoff from Imam Khomeini Airport in Tehran early Wednesday local time, Iran’s semi-official news agency ISNA reported.

The Ukranian Airlines plane crashed due to technical difficulties, according to ISNA.

There is no immediate word on injures.

The report came after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was accused of threatening America with another Lockerbie after he tweeted a veiled reference to the 1988 bombing that killed 270 people.
