Republicans Cheer Billionaire For Doing What They Say ‘Elite Democrats’ Always Do

For years, Republicans have chastised Democrats for their ‘elitism’ in using money to buy up media companies to try and control the public narrative. Now, a billionaire republican donor has moved to buy a large stake in Twitter with the intention of getting rid of the “left-wing bias” in the company according to Fox News.

A billionaire Republican megadonor has purchased a “sizable” stake in Twitter and “plans to push” to oust CEO Jack Dorsey among other changes, according to new reports, raising the prospect of a shocking election-year shakeup of the social media platform that conservatives have long accused of overt left-wing political bias.

Paul Singer’s Elliott Management Corp. has already nominated four directors to Twitter’s board, Bloomberg News reported, citing several sources familiar with the arrangement. The outlet noted that unlike other prominent tech CEOs, Dorsey didn’t have voting control over Twitter because the company had just one class of stock; and he has long been a target for removal given Twitter’s struggling user growth numbers and stock performance. This action is in itself no different than what the Republicans have accused the Democrats of doing.

There is an unmistakable pattern in American politics that when one party is “in power” in the White House, the other party complains, often times with good reason, about what the other party is doing. Then, when that person is ousted and said party making complaints gets power, they proceed to do the same things they complained about, and those who were ousted make the same legitimate complaints of the actions of the one in power that they did when they were in power. The cycle is very accurate and consistent.

While politics is often a show in many nations, in America it takes on a special quality because there is a two-party system where both parties operate with the same goals in mind while wearing different costumes. There is no freedom of political choice because only these two parties are the ones that the people support, are promoted, and are allowed to gain political traction, and it is for the purpose of controlling the people.

Politics is important to follow, but this is why one should look at it more as a circus for entertainment rather than something having to do with truth. Politics in the US is controlled, and if one wants to have real influence in politics, in a practical way he has the most influence at the local level. National politics is laughable in terms of influence because it is a billionaire’s club where they fight with each other for who can be more powerful, where hypocrisy is the mode of operation and nothing matters except the acquisition of raw power.
