Muslims in Thailand took three women, behead them, then covered their bodies in gasoline and burn them, all in the name of jihad.
Brad Adams, Asia director at Human Rights Watch, said:
Southern insurgents are killing Buddhist women and spreading terror by beheading and burning their bodies … claims by separatist groups that they are retaliating against government abuses are no justification for attacks on civilians
On February 12, a woman named Sayamol Sae Lim was shot dead by Muslims who subsequently burned her body. On March 14, a 43-year-old teacher named Siriporn Srichai was also shot by Muslims. The killers then doused body with gasoline and lit the corpse on fire.
In the southern provinces of Thailand, where this conflict between Muslims and Buddhist has been ongoing since 2004, at least 5,488 have been killed.
