As we read in W Parabi:

An elderly Palestinian Christian woman was seriously injured in an attack by Israeli settlers on her home in the occupied West Bank on Saturday.

The settlers brought their livestock to graze near the house located in the outskirts of Birzeit, north of Ramallah, near the Atara military checkpoint.

Citizen Nafiz Amjad said that the settlers deliberately damaged the crops and trees before suddenly throwing stones at the house.

His mother, Najat Jadallah Amid, 62, was hit in the head and seriously injured in the hospital.

Nafiz said: “My mother was taken to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, where it was found that she had a skull fracture.”

Nafiz also suffered injuries and bruises to his hand, while his brother Eid Amid suffered a broken hand and finger.

According to Nafiz, when he saw Eid Eid’s mother bleeding on the ground, he tried to keep the settlers away from the house.

They attacked him and pelted him with stones. He responded by throwing stones and hit one of the settlers in the head.

As we read in Bokra:

Elderly Palestinian woman Najat Emil Jadallah continues to receive treatment at the Arab Consulting Hospital in Ramallah after sustaining a serious head injury from a stone thrown during an attack by settlers on her family’s home in the town of Birzeit, near the Atara checkpoint. The incident sparked widespread outrage due to the targeting of an inhabited house and civilians, including an elderly woman.

According to reports, settlers attacked the house and pelted its residents with stones, resulting in Najat’s serious head injury, as well as injuries to her son, Alaa Hani Jadallah, and two young men, Nafiz Bassam Eid and Eid Yousef Eid. Najat was transferred to the hospital for treatment, while the family reported experiencing severe psychological distress since the attack.

Minister Mu’ayyad Sha’ban, head of the Commission against the Wall and Settlements, visited Najat in the hospital, accompanied by a team from the Commission, to check on her condition. He affirmed that the Commission’s teams are following up on the details of the attack and continuing to monitor and document settler attacks against Palestinians in various areas.
