The Israeli government is now saying that they know Trump will end the war and that they will hit Iran as hard and as much as possible before the war ends, as we read in Haaretz:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office was not surprised by U.S. President Donald Trump’s remarks overnight that the war is ‘pretty much’ complete and could end soon, a source familiar with the matter told Haaretz.

According to the source, Israel is preparing for the possibility that Trump will seek to end the war in the near future, partly due to political constraints – chief among them the lack of support for the war in the U.S.

Israel intends to continue striking in Iran in the coming weeks to damage the regime as much as possible before the U.S. seeks to halt the fighting. However, according to the source, Israel understands that the war is not expected to lead to the regime’s immediate collapse, but rather to weaken it – a process that could eventually lead to its downfall.
