Hollywood Actor who played Oskar Schindler considers converting to Islam

Hollywood actor Liam Neeson, who ironically played the role of Oskar Schindler in Schindler’s List, is giving serious consideration to abandoning Catholicism for Islam. We’re not sure what he thinks about Oskar Schindler or if he knows that the Nazis allied with Islamic leaders in WWII, in large part, over a common hatred for the Jews.

So why is Neeson considering becoming a Muslim? Well, he liked being around thousands of mosques while filming in Instanbul Turkey.

Via the Herald Sun:

“The call to prayer happens five times a day, and for the first week, it drives you crazy, and then it just gets into your spirit, and it’s the most beautiful, beautiful thing,” he told The Sun.

“There are 4000 mosques in the city. Some are just stunning, and it really makes me think about becoming a Muslim.”

Neeson was raised in Northern Ireland as a devout Roman Catholic and was named after the local priest.

The actor who played the role of a man who protected Jews from Nazis at great personal risk is considering becoming a member of the religion Hitler greatly respected.

Who needs fiction these days? Truth is so much stranger.
