Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff delivers very curious comment about Israel

It is important (and sometimes difficult) to remember that when military Generals say things that make them sound like dhimmis and the military they lead seem more interested in acquiescing to Islam, their boss is the President of the United States. Their public words reflect the policies of their Commander-in-Chief. Nonetheless, it is painful to hear them say such things.

The latest example comes from Gen. Martin Dempsey, who said that he didn’t want to be “complicit” with Israel in any attack on Iran.

Via JTA:

Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of U.S. armed forces, said he does not wish to be “complicit” in a unilateral Israeli strike on Iran.

Dempsey said Thursday that such an attack would “clearly delay but probably not destroy Iran’s nuclear program,” the London Guardian reported. He added, “I don’t want to be complicit if they choose to do it.”

Dempsey was speaking with journalists while attending the opening ceremony of the Paralympic Games in London. He is heading the U.S. delegation to the competition.

The U.S. official said he did not know Iran’s nuclear intentions, as intelligence did not clearly reveal them, according to the Guardian. What is clear, Dempsey added, is that the “international coalition” applying pressure on Iran “could be undone if [Iran] was attacked prematurely.” Sanctions against Iran were having an effect, and they should be given more of an opportunity to succeed, he told the newspaper.

According to, the word ‘complicit’ necessarily involves being involved in illegal behavior:

choosing to be involved in an illegal or questionable act, especially with others; having complicity.

So helping a small nation, that also happens to be America’s strongest ally, attack a nation that has threatened to wipe it off the map would make Dempsey and the United States ‘complicit’!?

These Generals should be extended some deference in light of the policies / views of their boss, Barack Obama. That is, unless they fully believe the insane words coming out of their own mouths.

For example, Dempsey’s words seem to be in line with what Debka reports is an Obama administration policy to alienate Israel relative to Iran.
