In the Nigerian capital city of Abuja, Muslims blew up a bus station, killing at least seventy one people, and injuring another 124 people.
Suspicions have already arisen that this was done by the hands of Boko Haram, who have dedicated their lives to shedding the blood of Christians. As Shoebat.com reported recently, Boko Haram composed a song in which they say outrightly that they are here to kill Christians:
We are working for Allah and must bring Shariah to existence; we are committed to protecting Muslims from being annihilated by infidels. We are going to kill them. We will enter Churches and slaughter Christians and barracks. We are calling on all Muslims to come out and fight Jihad. If you joke, these infidels will annihilate Muslims. You see how they are killing our women and children.
Lukman Aman, a civilian who witnessed the explosions, recalls that he saw man enter the bus with a bag, only to withdraw minutes later just seconds before the bomb went off:
While people were trying to get to work this morning, I spotted a guy holding a bag and he went onto the bus, after a few minutes he stepped off, probably about five minutes later, then there was a huge explosion. Before you knew it, people were dead
The bomb’s explosion ripped a hole in the ground four feet deep about 10 feet from the city, and the blast was so powerful that is destroyed 30 vehicles which, because of their fuel tanks, caused secondary explosions. A civil servant named Ben Nwachukwu recounted what he saw:
I can’t count the number of people that died. They took them in open vehicles. People were running and there was confusion
Air Commodore Charles Otegbade also said:
It affected quite a number of people because it was still very early in the morning and there was a lot of traffic
A BBC reporter describes the horrifying and bloody chaos:
There was total panic in the area, as those who could ran for their lives. Eyewitnesses said there were bodies and body parts scattered across the area.
