Ex-Obama Adviser Admits to Pressuring Israel to allow Materials into Gaza used to Construct Terror Tunnels

Former adviser to Barack Obama, Dennis Ross has made a shocking admission in a Washington Post op-ed. Ross, who was appointed to the National Security Council staff as a Special Assistant to the President in 2009, a position he held for more than two years, indicates Obama may have culpability in the construction of terror tunnels used to kidnap and murder Israelis.

In his piece, Ross reveals he was tasked with pressuring Israel to allow materials used in the construction of terror tunnels into Gaza. In light of what the 2010 Gaza flotilla was attempting to get into Gaza, the Obama administration’s role in that flotilla might be worth further examination.

Though Ross doesn’t address that flotilla specifically, it was carrying the exact same materials used in the construction of those tunnels.

Via Washington Post, Ross writes (h/t Doug Ross):

At times, I argued with Israeli leaders and security officials, telling them they needed to allow more construction materials, including cement, into Gaza so that housing, schools and basic infrastructure could be built. They countered that Hamas would misuse it, and they were right. Developing Gaza — fostering a future for its people and protecting them — was not Hamas’s goal.“They countered that Hamas would misuse it, and they were right.”

Of course, cement is a key ingredient in all the terror tunnels Israel is working so hard to destroy.

A BBC Committee that investigated what happened wrote the following in an extensive, 100-plus page report about the 2010 flotilla and what it was carrying:

…there were 10,000 tons of aid supplies on board the ships in the Flotilla including 750 tons of iron, 100 pre-cast homes and 3,500 tons of cement.

This indeed does reflect a pattern of pro-terrorist behavior, action, and inaction from the Obama administration.

Under Obama, Israel was being pressured by Obama’s envoy to purposely allow Hamas to have access to building supplies used to construct its underground, terrorist infrastructure. Conversely, in Benghazi, Americans who were screaming for more security personnel and building supplies to protect them from terrorist attacks were repeatedly denied and were sitting ducks.

The lack of infrastructure in Benghazi when juxtaposed with the Obama administration’s role in facilitating Hamas’ terror infrastructure in Gaza, tells quite the story.
