Donald Trump has declared to Israel not to hit the Pars gas field again, and that the war is going to be over pretty soon. As we read in Haaretz:
U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his disavowal on Thursday of Israel’s Wednesday strikes on Iran’s South Pars natural gas field, saying he “told [Netanyahu] not to do that,” but that the two countries are “independent, get along great, it’s coordinated.”
“On occasion, he’ll do something, and if I don’t like it,” he said. “So we’re not doing that anymore.”
…
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said the war with Iran is “going to be over with pretty soon. We’ve obliterated just about everything there is to obliterate,” adding that his “little excursion” is “substantially ahead of schedule.”
…
Trump added that Iran “is close to demolished. The only thing is the strait,” referring to the Strait of Hormuz, which Tehran has closed to the passage of international vessels. “You take two people and they drop little bombs and the whole thing goes up. We don’t want that to happen.”
