The United States wants to get Iran to join the NATO sphere of influence due to its geopolitical importance (the Strait of Hormuz, its access into the Caspian Sea and it being the only direct land route into Central Asia from the Middle East), and its doing this through Turkey: SUPPORT OUR WORK
