St. Simeon’s Church in Kreuzberg in a Protestant Church that is known also as the “refugee church” for helping the people brought into Germany from the Middle East and Africa beginning in 2015. Recently, the Church was attacked by “unknown” assailants who shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attacks:
Unknown people have attacked a church in Berlin under “Allahu Akbar” cries. Six presumably juveniles threw stones against church windows of the St. Simeon Church in Kreuzberg district on Wednesday night, police spokesman for the YOUNG FREEDOM confirmed.
The stone throws damaged the building. Witnesses had called the police shortly after the crime around 9 pm. The state security has taken over the investigation.
The Protestant church declared itself 2015 the first “refugee church” of Germany. She offered in the episode deliberations for refugees in Arabic. (source)
