Yesterday, when Senator Rand Paul asked Secretary of State Hillary Clinton if the CIA Annex in Benghazi was being used as a hub for gun trafficking to Turkey and other countries (Syria), Clinton initially directed Paul to the CIA to have his question answered. She ultimately said “I do not know” after being pressed.
Even Speaker John Boehner admitted to knowing more about the charge than Hillary did. The utter notion that the Speaker of the House is more aware of the allegations than the Secretary of State is ludicrous.
The CIA Director at the time of the Benghazi attacks was David Petraeus.
If he were to be put under oath by, say, the House Oversight Committee, which did excellent work in Fast and Furious, someone could re-ask Paul’s question but this time, direct it to Petraeus.
If the Annex was being used to traffic in weapons / gun running, Petraeus would be able to confirm that by answering honestly the following question:
Was the CIA Annex used to procure or ship weapons to other countries?
If Petraeus answered in the affirmative, the next question should be:
Did you or anyone else to your knowledge within the CIA ever discuss this with Secretary Clinton?
If the answer is yes, we’d have an interesting little perjury scandal on our hands.
