Camels and Egyptian Tomb Bats are causing a disease spread fast in Saudi Arabia. Experts reveal that infection of MERS from when it started has DOUBLED in the past EIGHT WEEKS ALONE.
The Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or MERS corona virus is a Sars-like virus, which health experts say came from Arabian camels. But it’s more than camels that is causing the disease. Laurie Garrett, senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations and a leading expert on pandemics, thinks that the primary host—and the cause of at least some of the recent surge in Saudi MERS cases—is a type of fruit bat known as the Egyptian Tomb Bat, which has been a host to the virus for centuries.” (1)
Garrett explains that as bats roost on palm date trees leaving droppings, urine and saliva, its picked up by workers who put nettings on the fruit dates to protect the dates from being eaten by the Egyptian tomb bat. Now that the camels are mostly infected, a surge in the disease is coming from the bats. (2)
And the problem is even worse, WHO (World Health Organization) said that, “it was not, for now declaring MERS as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (commonly known as a PHEIC). Why? Garrett explains that, “it was politically motivated—having targeted one predominately Islamic country (Pakistan) with polio-related travel restrictions, the WHO maybe leery of offending a second [Saudi Arabia]”.
MERS corona virus doesn’t yet have pandemic potential yet, but the Muslim Pilgrimage (Hajj) and other factors could take a major turn into a major disease outbreak as health experts advised.
The Economist in an article stated “Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, has done a lousy job at both containing and until recently sharing much information about MERS … infections have recently picked up pace too, more than doubling in the past eight weeks.”
And with MERS, a sister disease to SARS which only kills 8% infected, MERS kills 31%.
But combating MERS is much different than combating the H7N9 bird flu. Eventually it took mass slaughter and destruction of poultry to prevent the spread of disease. The camel is a different issue since its milk, urine and meat is holy to Muslims. The instruction to consume all three (urine, milk and meat) as a staple for health is an instruction which came from the highest authorities who compiled the life and deeds of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam. Sahih Muslim and Sahih Al-Bukhari are the two highest authorities who complied the deeds of the prophet of Islam and according to the prophet, camel urine mixed with milk heals stomach problems and is why Saudi Arabia does not like the findings.
Saudi media Bab.com responds: “Scientific Doubt That Corona is Linked to Camels” argue that “previous cases had nothing to do with camels”. The Saudi Ukaz newspaper defended the camel in an article headlined under “FAO exonerate the Camel from Corona .. and health institutions did not prove the charge”. Khalid Marghalani the head of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said.
Okaz reported that:
“Undersecretary of Preventive Medicine at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ziad Memsh rejected the findings as he told Okaz: “I think that the talk contained in the study is incorrect and although it sampled 50 camels from the Netherlands and several other countries to examine the vulnerability, but those tests are not likely to be true”
Shoebat.com has warned since 2012, that MERS will possibly cause a pandemic. Now Laurie Garrett, the senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations warned that with the upcoming Muslim pilgrimages of Hajj and Umrah approaching fast and the infectious disease and injury risks that are associated with such mass gatherings, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers recommendations and advice to protect yourself during these religious events.
The larger of the two events, the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia draws some 3 million pilgrims annually, including more than 11,000 Americans, will likely take place the first week of October (3-6, 2014).
The problem might compound that besides the human gatherings is that millions of animal sacrifices which includes camels that will take place during Eid al Adha to conclude the Hajj in early to mid-October.
“Given that animal sacrifice is an essential and a mandatory component of the Hajj of the pilgrims … finding an answer as quickly as possible would be quite important,” said Dr. Kamran Khan, an infectious diseases physician at Toronto’s St. Michael’s Hospital who specializes in using airline traffic data to predict the global movement of diseases.”
If and when MERS becomes a pandemic, foreign workers, especially Christians will leave Saudi Arabia in masse. In Revelation 18, we find proclamation in which God speaks of plagues hitting Saudi Arabia with such references as “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen” and that God will cause a mass exodus of Christians from there declaring “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues”. (3)
Christian workers need to pay close attention; we have “plagues” and a mass exodus proclaimed in a single verse and is what we are beginning to see the spark of a possible plague in Saudi Arabia. God wants to urge Christians to leave Saudi Arabia “Come out of her my people” but as to why, He says: “that ye receive not of her plagues”.
In both references, in Revelation 18:2 and Revelation 14:8 the Bible speaks in the same fashion of Babylon, that it “is fallen is fallen”. Isaiah 21 tells us using the same announcement “is fallen is fallen”, yet Isaiah tells us that this burden is against “Arabia”.
In the Bible, God used locusts in the past calling them God’s army. Is it possible that the Egyptian Tomb Bats and the Arabian camels are acting as God’s army to destroy Arabia?
Only time will tell.

3 “And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:3-5).
