A Venezuelan man was arrested after he confessed to murdering a farmer, eating most of the body, and then making artistic paintings on canvas with the rest of his blood:
Luis Alfredo González Hernández was arrested Thursday for murdering and devouring part of the remains of a man in the city of Barlovento, in the state of Miranda, located two hours from Caracas . The agents of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation (CICPC) have nicknamed the young homicidal as the “anthropophagous artist” because he had used the blood and ashes of the owner of a farm, which had disappeared for days, to paint on a canvas .
González – a dark-haired, disheveled and wide-eyed man – has admitted the crime to police interrogations. After confirming that has dismembered and eaten much of the owner of the farm, the murderer has argued that his victim had “hired” to perform a strange “funeral service” which consisted of “kill him, eat part of it and his blood and ashes make paintings on canvas “, explained Douglas Rico, director of the CICPC.
On the victim’s farm, in the warm locality of Barlovento, bone remains have been found, documents belonging to people outside the property and other paintings. Rico has reported that it is being investigated if these papers coincide with the identity of citizens reported missing in Venezuela. The scientific police will also practice forensic anthropology exams to the “works of art” found on the site. It is not ruled out that it is a serial killer.
The identity of the owner of the murdered farm has not yet been revealed. Nor has it been indicated whether the cannibal has confessed to being the author of other homicides. The coldness of his statement and his grotesque crime suggest that he is a criminal with severe mental disorders.
The arrest of the cannibal evokes another occurred in the border state of Táchira , in 1999. This is Dorancel Vargas Gómez, a deranged beggar who killed and and ate the remains of at least 10 men. Even his physical appearance is similar to that of Gonzalez. It is a chilling story that is repeated 19 years later. (source)
