The Israeli military is now admitting that the IDF is dealing with very intense Hezbollah attacks, as we read in Walla:
The IDF continues to strengthen the security elements in the emerging security zone in southern Lebanon, and reserve and regular officers warn that the static situation deep in the area could, over time, become a weak point – if the IDF does not have free daily activity.
A senior IDF officer said that “At this stage, the IDF is working mainly to eliminate threats or as part of defensive operations, and as Hezbollah continues to exert force, we may be left behind in various areas.”
Regarding Hezbollah’s activity in the security strip along a length of about 50 kilometers, the officer said: “What we encounter today is Hezbollah fighting high-intensity guerrilla warfare. It learned from the war between Russia and Ukraine and the fighting in the Gaza Strip, continues to develop, with the support of its Iranian patron, and operates drones, drones, steep-track firing, sniper fire, and anti-tank missiles.”
