Video: Rand Paul explains why he asked Hillary about CIA Annex in Benghazi being involved in gun trafficking

After Senator Rand Paul out-performed every other Senator or Congressman who questioned Hillary Clinton about Benghazi, he appeared on Hannity to discuss a central focus of his exchange with Hillary. That central focus, which was shockingly not picked up on by subsequent questioners, was the role of the CIA Annex.

Another very telling aspect to Paul’s effectiveness is the left’s attempt to smear him. USA Survival’s Cliff Kincaid points out that the Center for American Progress (CAP) is already hard at work, painting Paul as a conspiracy theorist for going down that road.

However, Kincaid says, it was the New York Times that provided Paul with sufficient reason to ask the question:

The New York Times reported that the Obama Administration “secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar” in 2011 and that “Qatar was turning some of the weapons over to Islamic militants.” These rebels stormed the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, killing four Americans, in a major foreign policy scandal that continues to this day. It was the reason for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing featuring the Rand Paul-Hillary Clinton exchange.

Take another look at how Hillary responded to Paul’s question about the possibility of the CIA Annex trafficking guns through Turkey. Note the tone. Instead of answering with a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’, she repeats the word in a tone that implies it came entirely from the inner recesses of Paul’s mind. Her response lends itself to CAP’s smear of Paul.

Watch at the 2:15 mark:

Smear the truth-tellers. It’s what Lance Armstrong did, too.
