By supporting Hamas, Turkey and Qatar are State Sponsors of Terrorism. Yet, Secretary of State John Kerry – as a representative of Barack Obama – wanted to commission those countries to negotiate a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. In so doing, Kerry was treating Israel like the terrorist state while treating terror states as allies.
Part of the deals put forth by Kerry involved Qatar sending Hamas tens of millions of dollars. It should be no wonder why Israel went into orbit over Kerry’s offers.
The official list of State Sponsors of Terrorism maintained by the U.S. State Department is absent several countries, to include Qatar, a major backer of Hamas and home to Muslim Brotherhood Spiritual Leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal, and the Muslim Brotherhood’s propaganda network, Al-Jazeera.
This absurdity is not lost on Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL), who sent Kerry a strong letter on the matter of the State Department dealing with Qatar:
With the conflict in the Middle East raging at a level not seen in years, I’m writing to express my grave concerns with the State Department’s active partnership with Qatar, a strong backer of the U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, Hamas. I, too, strongly support working to quell the violence between Israel and Hamas, but U.S. cooperation with Qatar at the very same time they are providing material aid and support to an active and ferociously violent terrorist organization only serves to tacitly endorse and encourage this unacceptable behavior. Qatar’s assistance to Hamas should at the very least raise serious questions about the applicability of U.S. sanctions laws.
The last part about U.S. sanctions laws is very important because once a country makes the State Sponsors of Terrorism list, any dealings with said country become illegal, as both the Washington Post and CNN have reported.
It is clear Qatar is also State Sponsor of Terrorism regardless of how the State Department sees it. The last country to be put on the incredibly short four-country list is Sudan, in 1993. Shockingly, the Obama administration has been working extremely hard to have Sudan removed, as Shoebat.com has reported. In all likelihood, this is due – at least in part – to Barack Obama’s brother Malik Obama’s working with Sudan’s Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO), headed by wanted war criminal Omar al-Bashir.
Two of the players in the effort to have Sudan taken off the list include a former Reagan administration official and the government of… Qatar.
As Shoebat.com has also reported, a behind-the-scenes attempt to have Sudan removed from the list is former Reagan National Security Advisor and Iran-Contra figure Robert McFarlane. In 2009, McFarlane signed a $1.3 million deal with Qatar that involved helping to ease relations with Sudan. Qatar was ostensibly the broker because Sudan was on the Terror list; Qatar was not.
In 2013, McFarlane’s apartment was raided by the FBI. According to documents retrieved, McFarlane’s deal with Qatar was really about a deal with Sudan. An FBI official quoted by CNN said the following:
“I believe these e-mails are evidence that McFarlane was entering into an agreement with the Government of Sudan to lobby the U.S. government officials on behalf of Sudan and to provide it with advice during negotiations with the United States.”
This was made possible by Qatar.
Earlier this year, McFarlane attended an event put on by the International Center for Religion and Diplomacy (ICRD) to honor Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. ICRD’s Vice President was a top official for the Sudanese government and Omar al-Bashir for several years, both before and after Sudan was designated as a Terror state.
In 1987, McFarlane told the New York Times that his attempt at suicide resulted from a sense that he ‘failed the country’ relative to Iran-Contra, as Shoebat.com reported. His dealing with one country that should be designated as a State Sponsor of Terrorism so that he could deal with a country already designated is worse than failing the country; it’s called betraying it.
Qatar, Turkey and Benghazi
Roskam, who sits on the House Select Committee on Benghazi, must also know of Qatar’s involvement in the weapons trafficking operation in Benghazi run by then CIA Director David Petraeus. That covert operation to traffic weapons out of Benghazi, to Turkey, and onto Syria’s rebels (now controlled by ISIS) involved funding from Qatar and Turkey, the two countries touted by Kerry to negotiate a truce with Israel through Hamas.
Recently, an ISIS fighter revealed that Turkey deserves the credit for helping ISIS rise to power in Syria.
When the truth about Turkey and Qatar are put in the proper context, it’s understandable why Israel would act so negatively to Kerry’s proposals.
Technically, Turkey is also a state sponsor of terrorism with which the U.S. should not deal. Under Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey is a rabid supporter of Hamas that is anti-Israel and anti-Christian. In 2010, Erdogan’s Turkey was complicit in an act of war against Israel with the now infamous Gaza flotilla. Since the Muslim Brotherhood was overthrown in Egypt last year, Turkey has become a safe haven for its leaders as Shoebat.com has reported.
However, instead of being on the official list of terror states, Turkey is the second largest member of NATO.
Al Jazeera
Had Qatar been officially designated as a State Sponsor of Terrorism, it would have been illegal for Al Gore to ink the deal that handed his CURRENT TV network over to Al Jazeera, which is based in Doha, Qatar. Al Jazeera is a propaganda arm for the Muslim Brotherhood and while its Al Jazeera America is flailing in the U.S., it still provides a terror entity with an avenue to reach the American people.
Kerry’s predecessor Hillary Clinton and Senator John McCain lent their voices to an Al Jazeera America promo last year in which they praised the network as reported by Shoebat.com. Huma Abedin, a close adviser to Hillary Clinton for years, has steep connections to the Muslim Brotherhood leaders. McCain has also been a vehement defender of Abedin.
