In this video we discuss the rivalry between Turkey and Israel over the Red Sea region of Africa. Israel’s most important port in Eilat has been out of operation due to the Houthis shutting down the Bab al-Mandeb Strait which lies on the Red Sea in between Yemen and Djibouti and is very close to the Somaliland region of Somalia. Turkey has a massive military presence in Somalia. So Israel faces its access through the strait being shut down by Iran in Yemen (through its proxies the Houthis) and on the other side of the strait there is Turkey with its aspiration of reviving the Ottoman Empire and taking control of the Red Sea. To counter Turkey’s military presence in Somalia and the Houthis on the other side, Israel recognized Somaliland (which wants to be separate form Mogadishu) as an independent country and wants to have a military presence in that region. At the same time, the UAE — an ally of Israel against Iran — is backing the bloodthirsty and murderous RSF against the Sudanese government which is being backed by both Iran and Turkey. Meanwhile, the Turks and the Libyans are in an agreement to police the maritime corridor between each other’s countries. Israel is already cut off from using its port city of Eilat to do commerce, which means the Mediterranean is its only access by which to import and export. The Turkish-Libyan pact could be used to isolate Israel from its last remaining access way by which to trade. The battle for Africa is the encirclement of Israel:
