Everybody knew for years that Saudi Arabia was a major funder of terrorism. Now Crown Price Mohammed bin Salman has openly admitted that Saudi officials in government funded terrorism against America:
Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) admitted in a wide-ranging interview in The Atlantic that Saudi nationals have funded terrorist groups, and quite stunningly – that Israelis are entitled to live peacefully on their own land – yet another indicator that the relationship between Riyadh and Tel Aviv is strengthening.
Bin Salman’s comments come days after a U.S. judge rejected Saudi Arabia’s request to dismiss lawsuits accusing it of involvement in the 9/11 attacks.
The cases are based on the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (Jasta), a 2016 law that provides an exemption to the legal principle of sovereign immunity, allowing families of the victims to take foreign governments to court.
The families point to the fact that the majority of the hijackers were Saudi citizens, and claim that Saudi officials and institutions “aided and abetted” the attackers in the years leading up to the 9/11 attacks, according to court documents. –Middle East Eye
MbS also told The Atlantic when asked if Jewish people have a right to a nation-state in at least part of their ancestral homeland:
“I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land. But we have to have a peace agreement to assure the stability for everyone and to have normal relations… We have religious concerns about the fate of the holy mosque in Jerusalem and about the rights of the Palestinian people. This is what we have. We don’t have any objection against any other people. This is what we have. We don’t have any objection against any other people”
Saudi Arabia does not currently recognize Israel – maintaining for years that normalizing relations all depends on the withdrawal from Arab lands captured in the 1967 Middle East War – territory Palestinians claim to be theirs for the establishment of a future state.
“There are a lot of interests we share with Israel and if there is peace,” MbS added. “There would be a lot of interest between Israel and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and countries like Egypt and Jordan”
Recall that the first two stops Donald Trump made as President were Saudi Arabia and Israel, where he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu and Saudi Arabia’s King Salman to discuss a coalition to fight terrorism – which, aside from the US and Israel, includes Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan – assembled to fight the Islamic State and curtail Iran’s regional ambitions.
Last November, the 32-year-old bin Salman announced plans to “wipe terrorists from the face of the earth,” by forming a coalition of 40 Muslim countries to defeat ISIS.
Speaking at a summit of defence ministers from across 41 majority-Muslim countries he spoke of a need for a “pan-Islamic united front” against terrorism.
He said: “In past years, terrorism has been functioning in all of our countries… with no coordination among national authorities.
“That ends today, with this alliance.” –express.co.uk
The first official meeting of the new Muslim alliance was held a week later – just two days after an attack at a Mosque in Egypt killed over 300 people, including 30 children – in what was called the country’s worst terrorism incident.
Meanwhile, bin Salman traveled to Washington D.C. in March, where he began what’s been described as a cross-country road show to lure American firms and investment to Saudi Arabia – a crucial component of his “Vision 2030” plan to wean the ultraconservative kingdom’s economy off its reliance on oil.
Since being appointed heir to the thrown, MbS, 32, has embarked on what fawning US media have described as an “ambitious” reform agenda. He has earned-widespread praise for lifting restrictions on women driving while loosening rules around male-female interactions and also reining in the country’s religious police.
In an effort to wean the Kingdom off of its dependence on oil, MbS launched his Vision 2030 initiative – a plan that relies on foreign investment. (source)
This is NOT a surprise at all. In fact, that Saudi Arabia has been funding terrorism for decades has been well known because the Saudis have worked with the USA in order to fund terrorism for political gain.
Recall our recent article on Operation Cyclone, which was a joint operation between the USA, Israel, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia to stimulate confilct in Afghanistan and then to fund the creation of an Islamic militant force in order to pull the Soviets into a Vietnam-esque type situation. The plan worked, but it was the most costly operation in American history, costing billions of dollars and in which each American dollar spent was matched by the Saudis.
America knows about the terrorism but does not care because Saudi Arabia works with the USA in order to use terrorism as a justification for militarism and expansion.
This was the entire debacle with ISIS. ISIS was funded by both the USA and the Saudis. Shoebat.com wrote about this YEARS ago and proved through publicly available documents the connection. However, nothing was done about it because the terrorism was created for a specific purpose, which as we can see today is the destabilization of the Middle East and the creation of the “refugee crisis” in order that it could be used to destabilized Europe to bring about the creation of a new world war and a realignment of the old alliances.
This is also the same reason why ISIS has for the most part “disappeared,” because just like “Al-Qaeda” and the “Taliban,” they were funded and allowed to grow for specific reasons. If it were not for the constant flow of money and weapons from the western world, these groups would vanish and they do because they cannot produce their own weaponry and they lack the logistical and technical means to be able to carry out the wars they do when they are being backed by foreign powers.
Terrorism is a real part of Islam, but it is only one aspect and is NOT a means in itself. In Islam, the purpose of terrorism is to compel a non-believer to accept Islam. It does not exist just for the purpose of terrorizing people for no reason. This is part of the reason why throughout history, Islam has been used by governments for proxy wars with other nations because given the lack of a consistent theology and the violent, disordered nature of Islam, it naturally attracts those with blind faith in a system and as such can be manipulated in the hands of a skilled person.
The Saudi Arabians claiming an alliance with the USA and Israel is not something new. This alliance has existed for at least 40 years, and it is going to continue in the future as long at the nations exist because they share common interests with each other- cheap oil for the USA, protection and money for the Israelis, and the continued rule of the Saud family.
Saudi Arabia has the most to lose in this arrangement, especially since the USA and Israel have strong ties to Turkey. Given the strength of the USA and the near inseparability of Israeli policy from American posturing in the Middle East, it would not take much for the USA and Israel to jettison Saudi Arabia and leave her to Turkey, who openly wants to destroy the Saud family as part of their plan to re-make the Ottoman Empire.
Remember that just as the USA and Saudis have funded terrorism, it was the USA and the nations of western Europe who created the current Turkish military for the purpose of her acting as a countering force against Russia. Turkey now has the largest military in Europe and one of the most powerful in the world, and Turkey has made clear under Erdogan her intentions to return to her historical state as a world power that for centuries controlled the Middle East and were the “guardians” of Islam.
Perhaps the Sauds admitting the terrorism ties is an attempt to “come clean” as part of their plan to “remake” themselves, since they know that Saudi Arabia’s goose is cooked and they are trying to stay in power for as long as possible because if they do not, the future is being khazouked by Turkey.
