Retired 3-star General Jerry Boykin makes one compelling case that leftists are the equivalent of sheep who are supporting wolves that will turn on them as soon as it’s a viable option. Boykin was interviewed by the Daily Caller:

“The left has become apologists for the Muslim Brotherhood — that includes not only the gay and lesbian movement, but it includes the women’s movement,” Boykin told TheDC’s Ginni Thomas. “It includes the Marxists. It includes the environmentalists.”

But Islamists would immediately turn and attack gays and women, Boykin warned, if they were to set up their own underground justice system to arbitrate Sharia law — as they have already done in parts of England and France.

“If we had Sharia [law] in America, homosexuality would be punishable by death,” he warned. “A woman going outside of her home without a blood-relative male would be punished. A woman accused of adultery would be stoned. And the women’s movement in America has yet to stand up and say, ‘We are not going to allow our daughters to be forced into anything that they don’t want to, particularly a forced marriage.’ And this is happening all over.”

Two very specific things came to mind as I read this article. One is Stockholm Syndrome, a psychological condition in which hostages actually empathize with their captors while aggressively attacking those who would save them. This phenomenon was aptly named after hostages taken captive in a 1973 bank robbery in Stockholm, Sweden did just that. How else can you explain what Boykin factually describes?

The other thing that came to mind was the now famous (and salient) quote from Sir Winston Churchill, who said:

“An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile – hoping it will eat him last”

Far be it from me to analyze the mind of a leftist but perhaps we’re reaching the point where they’re coming face to face with a reality they will one day no longer be able to avoid. The lesson here is to not be a sheep who decides to defend the wolves. You may be eaten last but make no mistake, you will be eaten.

Those leftists simply can’t get it right. Oh, that reminds me. Here is something only tangentially related to the aforementioned subject matter. It is a band who goes by the moniker, Stockholm Syndrome, covering the 1970’s classic.
