The phenomenon that is Pallywood was discovered by Richard Landes after he gained access to the France 2 studios and was exposed to raw footage or “rushes” from the Palestinian territories. His 2006 documentary blew the lid off of a despicable strategy used by Palestinians.

That strategy involves staging scenes for news cameras in which Palestinians fake injuries or other scenes that make the Israelis look like oppressors while the Palestinian actors look like persecuted victims. In some cases, Palestinian children are taught to taunt Israeli soldiers in front of cameras to provoke a response that can easily be exploited. Now, in the wake of increased fighting in Gaza, the Pallywood actors are at it again. Watch as this heavy set man is carried away, allegedly because he’s injured, only to be up and walking around without a scratch minutes later.
