Before Evan Ebel became the primary suspect in the murder of Tom Clements, the Executive Director of Colorado’s Department of Corrections, Homaidan Al-Turki – a Saudi serving a life sentence in a Colorado prison – was a person of interest because eight days prior to the murder, Clements denied Al-Turki’s request for a transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Media interest in Al-Turki dried up almost instantaneously once Ebel had been killed in a car chase / shootout with Texas police on March 21st.
