Perhaps among the most outlandishly asinine assertions made by apologists running interference for Jihadists, the statement made by Boston’s mayor – Thomas Menino – may just top the list. In fact, it might just make Baghdad Bob blush.

“All of the information that I have they acted alone, these two individuals, the brothers.”

As Menino was running interference for any Jihadists who may also be involved, it was reported that the FBI has launched an investigation into a cell the bombers were linked to.

According to the Sunday Mirror, a source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.

“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

Aside from the extremely curious statements, why is Menino commenting on the details of an investigation that has just begun? Is he beholden to individuals and groups who have a stake in his running interference for them? Consider that in 2009, Menino was present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC):

The ISBCC is the same Cultural Center at which Governor Deval Patrick embraced an Imam with the Muslim American Society (MAS). Breitbart reported that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attended the mosque affiliated with the ISBCC.

Moreover, consider the ISBCC’s Imam is Suhaib Webb, who has spoken at an Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) convention in 2012. The ISNA is a Muslim Brotherhood front in the U.S. as is the Muslim Students Association (MSA). Take note of the banner on the left of the screen that says “MSA National”.

The coziness of Boston’s mayor and his state’s Governor with Muslim Brotherhood members and groups seems to go a long way in explaining their behavior and they should be called out for it.
