Centuries ago, Jan Hus and his followers rebelled against the Catholic Church to establish their own sect in a move that many historians regard as one of the precursors to the Protestant Revolution. Hus’ revolution failed but his ideas persisted and came to form the Moravian Church.
The Catholic Faith notes that the end of Christian heresy is Islamization. This has been shown yet again where a Moravian church in the USA is now having Muslims come in to teach about Islam:
The newest study at Ephraim Moravian Church will be “Discover Islam,” Thursdays at 8 a.m. (with breakfast) through Aug.30. A half-hour film each week will be followed by a half-hour discussion.
All films in this series are partnered with the ELCA, United Church of Christ, Episcopal Church, Moravian Church and Disciples of Christ. This series gives people a basic understanding of Islam and responds to the questions and perceptions of non-Muslims.
Each Thursday, a different aspect will be covered: Faith and History; Islam: An American Faith; Women in Islam; Islam, a Faith Hijacked; and Christians and Islam. All are welcome. (source)
Many churches do this already, but it is of particular interest that the Moravian Church, who was created out of the rebellions against the Faith, now is inviting Muslims to speak about their faith to her.
