On April 25, 2013, at the opening of the George W. Bush library, MSNBC host Chris Matthews blamed America for Jihadists like the Tsarnaevs murdering Americans. To watch the video at RCP, click here but this is perhaps the most relevant excerpt:
“…if we don’t stop killings Arabs on international television one of these days — that’s all we do is kill Arabs on international television. We don’t fight Africans, we don’t fight Europeans, Who do we fight? Islamic people, on International television. I think that might have something to do with jihad, just guessing. Don’t you?” (Martin Bashir Live, April 25, 2013)
Got that? Jihadists like the Tsarnaevs attacked innocent people because we fight Jihadists on television. As an aside, no other network does that more than Al-Jazeera, which has made Al Gore $100 Million richer, thanks to the former VP’s sale of his network to that entity.
Now, back to the dhimmitude of Chris Matthews. Here is an exchange between the Hardball host and an Imam named Omar Saleem Abu-Namous on November 6, 2001, less than two months after 9/11. Like yesterday, Matthews was indignant with respect to the behavior of Jihadists. The difference is that he as impatient with Abu-Namous then while he’s a Jihadist apologist now.
Dhimmitude: the Islamic system of governing populations conquered by jihad wars, encompassing all of the demographic, ethnic, and religious aspects of the political system.
Dhimmi: the name applied by the Arab-Muslim conquerors to indigenous non-Muslim populations who surrendered by a treaty (dhimma) to Muslim domination.
Incidentally, Abu-Namous has an interesting connection to Feisal Abdul Rauf, the Ground Zero mosque Imam. Rauf, an outed Islamist, is a permanent trustee at the Mosque Namous headed at the time of the 9/11 attacks. Namous’s predecessor at the ICC blamed the Jews for 9/11. Fortunately, Matthews called Namous on it and rightly never appeared satisfied at the answers. Unfortunately, that was twelve years ago and Matthews is now a dhimmi.
