I am not shocked to see Trump now voicing his support for the coup in Venezuela, given that John Bolton, Mike Pence, Marco Rubio and Mike Pompeo have all expressed their backing of the military uprising:
I am monitoring the situation in Venezuela very closely. The United States stands with the People of Venezuela and their Freedom!

Given how people within the Trump administration like John Bolton have been backing groups like the People’s Mujahideen of Iran (MEK), it does not surprise me at all that Trump would voice support for this. Now it is quite interesting that the people who revere Trump were saying that their guy Trump was going against “the deep state,” when it is quite obvious that he is a puppet of the powers that be. The US government has a history of backing coups in Latin America and they were all connected with the intelligence infrastructures of the US government. Trump expressed himself against the American backing of the revolution against Assad, but now Trump is doing this which really reveals the reality that it does not matter who is the president for policy does not change.
