New evidence, coupled with a timeline of events, shows how the NSA scandal was used by the Obama administration to both alert the Muslim Brotherhood and distract from other scandals.

More evidence has come to light that suggests anyone who has viewed Edward Snowden – the face of the NSA scandal – as a hero, has been snowed. Ditto for those who hold up Glenn Greenwald as a paragon of journalism. Claims that Snowden’s actions were patriotic are not only grossly misplaced but they have had the effect of aiding and abetting the Muslim Brotherhood as well as Nihad Awad, the Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in the U.S., itself a Muslim Brotherhood front group.
Earlier this month, Greenwald published an extensive report detailing revelations from Snowden’s leaks about surveillance being conducted by the FBI on Awad and four other Muslim figures, one of whom has posed for photos with both then First Lady Hillary Clinton and later with President George W. Bush.
Greenwald did not do an article to be critical of these five individuals but to defend them. Greenwald used photos such as the one above to help make such a defense.
In light of the Obama administration’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood, this latest development could make Snowden an agent of the administration, not a rogue agent who is trying to expose it.
It’s been learned this week, according to the very credible Investors Business Daily (h/t BNI), that the actions of Greenwald and Snowden have provided great assistance to CAIR, which has also enriched Greenwald:
It’s now clear that ex-NSA contractor Ed Snowden and his journalist sidekick Glenn Greenwald have an agenda beyond exposing spying abuses. They’re really aiding and abetting the Islamist enemy.
By releasing the names of several Muslim terrorist targets under surveillance by the NSA and FBI in a new expose — “Under Surveillance: Meet the Muslim-American Leaders the FBI and NSA Have Been Spying On” — Snowden and his mouthpiece Greenwald have tipped off the enemy and jeopardized major counterterror investigations.
As Shoebat.com reported last year, the homosexual U.K. Guardian reporter that provided the platform for Snowden – Glenn Greenwald – spoke at a CAIR fundraiser in Los Angeles alongside known jihadist and unindicted co-conspirator in the first World Trade Center attack Siraj Wahhaj.
If there is one thing that is known about the Obama administration, it’s that whenever a scandal gets too hot and too close, the mainstream media is right there to introduce a new one. At minimum, the new scandal is given voice by the media in need of something – anything – to cover instead of what could be considered most damaging to the administration.
In 2012, as IBD reports, Greenwald spoke at CAIR’s San Francisco chapter and said:
“I’m really glad to be a part of anything that CAIR does,” he added, “and to support the organization in any way that I can.”
Like Ghafoor, Awad has a history that includes access to George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton:
Below is a timeline which reveals that the NSA scandal – along with others – came at very opportune times for the administration.
TIMELINE OF STEALTH COLLABORATION
Wednesday May 8, 2013: Benghazi scandal is capturing the attention of the mainstream media. State Department whistleblower Gregory Hicks testifies in front of the House Oversight Committee; it is perhaps the most compelling development in the scandal.
Friday May 10, 2013: IRS scandal breaks after Tax Exempt Director Lois Lerner responds to a question she planted about IRS targeting of tea party groups. That weekend – to include the Sunday shows – much of the oxygen is sucked out of Benghazi by the IRS scandal.
It becomes known fairly quickly that this scandal may resonate with the American people more than Benghazi.
Monday May 13, 2013: News breaks that the Justice Department had covertly seized phone records from AP reporters. Again, attention being paid with increasing interest to one scandal (IRS) was diverted toward the AP wiretapping scandal.
Tuesday May 14, 2013: In the wake of the IRS scandal, the Daily Caller’s Charles Johnson writes an article about the favorable (and illegal) tax exempt status received by the Barack H. Obama Foundation (BHOF), founded and led by Malik Obama, the brother of President Barack Obama.
Thursday May 16, 2013: Greenwald delivers keynote speech at CAIR-NY Awards Banquet during which he champions “CAIR’s steadfast and relentless defense of core constitutional religious liberties”. Greenwald even makes reference to CAIR suffering “persecution from its own government”. This speech is uploaded to CAIR-NY YouTube page on June 4th, just one day prior to the NSA scandal blowing open.
Friday May 17, 2013: Scandal related to but separate from AP wiretapping makes news. It’s learned that Fox News reporter James Rosen’s visits to the State Department are being tracked and that his phone calls are being traced. This was done by the Justice Department after it identified Rosen as a “criminal co-conspirator”. Nothing of substance came out of this scandal except public outrage and the fact that it served as another distraction from the Benghazi and IRS scandals going into the weekend. Again, this affected Sunday show content.
Tuesday May 21, 2013: Shoebat.com publishes its first major report on the dealings of President Barack Obama’s brother Malik Obama with Omar al-Bashir, the President of Sudan.
Tuesday May 28, 2013: Shoebat.com publishes its second, more explosive report on Malik Obama’s dealings with the Government of Sudan, to include photos that highlight Malik’s ties to al-Bashir and Hamas terrorists. This report includes damning photos.
Monday June 3, 2013: While guest hosting for Rush Limbaugh, Mark Steyn introduces our research on Malik Obama and the IRS on the show. Here is the audio:
Wednesday June 5, 2013: The NSA scandal takes center stage with Greenwald’s first article about what Edward Snowden had done.
Those who might express skepticism that the Obama administration would intentionally be involved in putting out scandals to distract from other scandals run into a bit of a problem when factoring in the motives of Snowden and Greenwald. The Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the U.S. Government generally and the Obama administration specifically.
That Greenwald would be so connected to a Muslim Brotherhood front group indicates not only that he and Snowden conspired to help the Brotherhood but also timed the release of the scandal to coincide with other scandals that were dogging Obama. As IBD reports, Greenwald has attended several CAIR events.
Here is Greenwald giving his keynote speech to CAIR-NY on May 16th (uploaded one day prior to NSA scandal going public):
**CORRECTION** The CAIR-NY Awards Banquet at which Greenwald spoke in the video above actually took place on April 20, 2013 (not May 16). It was uploaded to the CAIR-NY YouTube channel on June 4, 2013.
