Last week, with Mr Erdogan sworn in as president, the workaholic Mr Davutoglu was given yet another promotion. On August 28, he became Turkey’s new prime minister and chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). And while the East understands the current success of the AKP, the West is still in limbo in understanding truly the magnitude of this new political victory.
Rather than being a country relegated to the periphery of Europe and Nato, Turkey should seize on historical, geographical and cultural links with its neighbours, Mr Davutoglu believed.
Its “Muslim” and not “backslidden Christian western” neighbors that Turkey wants to rebuild relations with. Its the Arian Heresy that they follow and not the Trinitarian God and defiantly not the One who built Solomon’s Temple on top of Zion’s hill.
In Mr Erdogan, whom he advised on foreign policy issues since 2003, he found an eager disciple and partner. To make the case for re-establishing Turkey’s bygone glory, the quiet thinker and the fiery populist often invoked Turkey’s Islamic heritage and anti-colonialist discourse.
“We are the new Ottomans,” Mr Davutoglu said in 2009, the year he became foreign minister.
By the end of the decade, Mr Davutoglu’s vision appeared to be coming true.
They broke with the entrenched leadership and embraced the Islamists, with whom they had shared a common ideological lineage. The AKP itself had been built on the ruins of an overtly Islamist party, of which Mr Erdogan had been a leading member.
“Whatever we lost between 1911 and 1923, whatever lands we withdrew from, we shall once again meet our brothers in those lands between 2011 to 2023,” Mr Davutoglu said in 2012, referring to the World War I era and the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. “We shall break the mould shaped for us by Sykes-Picot,” he said a year later.
The Sykes Picot, is the historic event which brought the Ottoman Humpty Dumpty Muslim Empire crushing down into pieces. Sykes Picot is the enemy of not only Turkey’s Ottoman dreams, but ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood and every Islamist on the globe.
Many western analysts believe that Mr Davutoglu’s “pan-Islamist” foreign policy, as Behlul Ozkan, a former student of his, called it in a recent essay, is backfiring.
But they are dead wrong, wishful thinkers, revisionist history book worms who cannot see through their cloudy thick eyeglasses.
At the AKP congress, Mr Davutoglu struck the same note and western analysts should not ignore him as they ignored Hitler.
“No one should clamp Turkey between Europe and Asia,” he said. “May Allah give us the strength to help those who ask, ‘Where is the person who will help me? Is there nobody coming?’”
Davutoglu refuses to have Turkey to being the nut in the jaws of western pliers.
Yet Western media, both liberal and conservative, has left no stone unturned to criticize Erdogan saying that “only conservatives and rural Turks had voted for Erdoğan and secularists, liberals and nationalists had voted for his opponent Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu”. They were all wrong. Fact is that Erdoğan’s voters draws respect from all segments of society and not just from conservatives or rural areas.
They repeat similar old false mantra that terrorism is caused by poverty and religion is born out of lack of education.
Last week conservative writer, Daniel Pipes wrote: “Turkey is slipping away from the NATO alliance of democracies and toward the shoddy Sino-Russian grouplet known as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. As Kemal Kilicdaroglu, leader of the opposition, sadly notes, “Turkey has grown lonely in the world.”
Western writers and experts think that by “world” and “lonely” they restrict such a term to the West, that Turkey is lonely and is dying to speak English.
Turkey is hardly “lonely”.
Today foreign students from Asia and Central Asian states now come into Turkey for higher education.
Heads of state from a dozen nations in Eastern Europe, Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East attended the ceremony while leaders of top Western states were conspicuous by their absence should tell us all something and Erdogan ruling Turkey longer than its modern founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk should teach us that its not western love the Turks seek, but an imperial dream.
And where were all these “experts” when we wrote of the revival of the Ottomans two decades ago, and how well did they do in their intellectual guesswork predicting that Kemalism was unshaken?
Turkey is a civilization bridge that connects three continents (Europe, Asia and Africa), it’s independent and plays a central power role, similar to the role of Germany in Europe. Using Samuel Huntington’s theory, Davutoğlu builds his theoretical framework of Turkey as an “original civilization”, the result of the interaction between Turkey’s unique role in Islam which can magnatize different cultures mixed in the Anatolian space from Turkey to North Africa, Egypt, the Fertile Crescent to Mesopotamia, Iran, Central Asia and all the way to Indonesia.
What western analysts all ignore is that religion is power and that Islam will never adapt to western ideas, except to gaining enough western military capabilities to invade and expand. Turkey is a major military power that can threaten Europe in the future and Germany spying at Turkey has its reasons.
And yes, history does repeat itself. Just as in the past, by 1500, the Sunni branch of Islam from Turkey, administered by the Ottomans, ruled lands from Syria and Iraq, across the Maghreb to the Atlantic. And on the European mainland, it ruled all of Greece and the Balkans. By 1529, the Ottomans began their first siege of the Hapsburg imperial Christian capital of Vienna and were not successful in taking the city. They lost that battle because the Sultan, Selim “the Grim,” was temporarily distracted from his conquest of Europe, feeling obliged to wage wars against his Islamic rivals both in Egypt and in Persia. Selim’s armies fought Persia to a stalemate. They were victorious against the Mamluks of Egypt, incorporating within the Turkish Ottoman Empire, Egypt, and the holy citadels of Islam, Medina, and Mecca. Most important for the ultimate survival of Europe, Persia remained an enemy of the Ottomans.
The new power house to be reckoned with is the dream to reunite these Islamic states Turkey once conquered.
What western analysts fail to do is to comprehend that religion is more powerful and is more motivating than freedom and economy.
The stage is set for Turkey to recreate its long awaited Ottoman dream. And while it will progress economically, it will use religion as the adhesive to attempt to unite its past glory. But this will be unlike its past glory and will end up as a divided 10 region/states.
And if Sykes Picot is Turkey’s current enemy as Davutoglu pointed, its also the enemy #1 of ISIS and what ISIS drew for their flag comes from Turkey’s Topkapi Museum and is a Turkish insignia and what ISIS drew as the new map is also Turkey’s which includes 10 Muslim regional powers:
1-Anatolia (Turkey)
2-Kurdistan
3-Gogaz, (C.I.S, which includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan)
4-Khorasan (Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and possibly Indonesia)
5-Iraq
6-Sham (Syria, Lebanon)
7-Qinana (Egypt, Sudan and Somalia)
8-Maghreb (which includes Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Mauritania)
9-Yemen
10-Hijaz (which includes the Gulf States)
It is only a matter of time that western analysts will see that religion, both Christian and Muslim is what draws the destiny of mankind; Christianity on the holy and Islam on the side of evil. Soon, they will realize that Islam’s ten state solution is not far fetched, but is also etched in their dusty Bibles that sits on their grandparents bookshelf. Pretty soon, they will learn of Daniel and of John and laugh no more. They will soon learn what John meant by “fiery red,” “hyacinth blue” and “sulfur yellow” and is that very same red dragon with the crescent moon and the woman stomping on it under her glorious feet, colors that can be clearly seen here:

Currently, ISIS, the bastard child created by Turkey has already divided the Muslim world in its map to include 13 Muslim states. But there map includes the Balkans, Spain and Ethiopia to make them 13.
While these three Christian lands are to be included back into the Ottoman Empire after an invasion, taking them off the chart leaves us with a ten Muslim state confederacy which such a plan was already announced in Istanbul.
Now this plan will become the primary focus of Turkey, not ISIS, which is simply setting the stage by removing the secular governments in the region to set up these ten states during the next decade and is why we are not rushing into proclaiming the end. There is still more to come.
What western analysts need to do is to read what circulates the Middle Eastern media:
“Sprawling three continents, from Asia which includes the states of Iraq, Syria and the Hijaz, Yemen, Khorasan and Anatolia and Kurdistan, then Andalusia in Europe, the Balkans and Eastern Europe. And then to the African continent, where the states of Abyssinia, and the land of Egypt. So this is The Caliphate State, thirteen states encompassing half of the world’s hemisphere.”
What is arising in Turkey is indeed, a failure in following western policy and western wishes, but a success in developing a new Hitler. The West forgot to learn from the first lesson in warfare; always believe what your enemy says.
