It seems now that the war is between a King and a Caliph. King Abdullah II is not someone who is to be underestimated, a bulldog of a fighter and a trained jet pilot himself promised that on Thursday he will personally carry out air strikes on ISIS sites in Syria excluding Iraq in retaliation for burning Jordanian pilot Muaz Kasasbeh adding: “We will strike their strongholds”.
The king is no Obama and monitoring ISIS’s twitter communications also reveal that ISIS is extremely concerned and is on the move anticipating Jordan’s reaction. ISIS leaders ordered to move all captive prisoners to different locations. This would mean the possibility of a ground attack. ISIS also ordered all centers to be relocated including all its headquarters in the Syrian region.
The King met with his chiefs of security immediately after ISIS burned their POW and discussed with them all the options available to respond, which they promised to be seismic. Jordan promised that they would step up the efforts with the international coalition upon his return from Washington Wednesday.
The official spokesman and Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani stated that the Jordanian response will be played all over the world and “will be announced at the appropriate time on the security and military levels.”
What Jordan is promising is different than the regular launching of air strikes which went on during the past few hours. The king during a meeting in the General Command by senior civilian and military officials vowed that “the blood of the martyr hero pilot Muaz Kasasbeh will not go in vain, and that Jordan and its army will pay back what its son suffered”.
King Abdullah II added: “we are fighting this war to protect our faith and our values and our humanitarian principles, and the fight for it will be relentless, we will be on the lookout for the clique of criminals and hit them in their own homes.”
As it seems, the king is serious as the meeting was attended by Prince Faisal bin al-Hussein, the Prime Minister, and the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, and adviser of the King’s Military Affairs, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and advisor to King for National Security Affairs, the General Intelligence Director, the Director of the King’s Office, and adviser to King National Policy Board decision, and foreign ministers and the affairs of expatriates The interior of State for media Affairs and Communications, and director of public security and director of the gendarmerie.
Jordan has the 67th most powerful military in the world, which is far from superpower status, but capable of taking on Islamic State’s stretched and in many cases undisciplined force, according to defense experts. Jordan’s military has 110,700 active duty personnel, 65,000 reserve members, 1,321 tanks and 4,600 armored fighting vehicles. Its air fleet has 246 aircraft, including 74 fighter planes and 24 attack helicopters. The nation of 6 million has a defense budget of $1.5 billion.
The country can also count on support from other nations, including the U.S.
This king was cut from the same cloth as his father, King Hussein who had had similar problems and was patient when his nation suffered from the PLO pricking continually at his military during the seventies until one day he had enough and booted the PLO using brute force out to Lebanon.
P.S: We usually get treamndous traffic on stories of this sort while we get very little on more serious issues on Christian persecution which will increase as we see these events unfold. For example, we operate a very effective mission in rescuing fellow Christians who literally live under slavery. We are a unique organization (Rescue Christians) who rescue Christians, perdominately in Pakistan that live under the Muslim yoke baking bricks in kilns under the heating sun. Christians too are burned in furnaces in Pakistan with no one to morn them. To see an example out of the thousands we rescue, click here, and listen to the amazing testimonies first hand on how you can help and make a difference, now in this life and for eternity.
Important Update:
Shoebat.com obtained the story from several media sources including the Daily Caller regarding the king personally flying a jet fighter to strike ISIS. However, while Jordan did carry out strikes a day later from this report, Jordan denied that the king will personally fly into combat:
“While several news agencies reported this piece, the Jordanian government spokesman Mohammed Al-Momani denied these reports about the participation of His Majesty King Abdullah II air sorties to hit Daash terrorist organization. Momani stressed in a statement to “Al-Ghad Newspaper” that whatever was disseminated throughput news sites and social networking sites in this regard is unfounded.” (Source)
Shoebat.com obtained this part of the news from several news media (example here) announced the news which Kuwaiti Fajr Al-Saeed stated that she confirmed it. “The popular Kuwaiti press Fajr Al-Saeed stated that King Abdullah of Jordan led air strikes against ISIS himself flying an F-16 and lead a squadron fighter which she she announced on the front page”.
So while Jordan’s air force will strike ISIS and has increased its strikes, we correct that the king will not personally enter into combat himself.
