A two-term Democratic lawmaker from President Obama’s home state of Hawaii appears to be the rare exception to a well-established rule: thou shalt not criticize Barack Obama.
It’s a lesson former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani found out the hard way recently, but it’s not being forced on U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.
A complicit media, with a heavy assist from the racial grievance industry, have long exacted a heavy toll from anyone who dare cut too deep in criticizing the president. But Gabbard has so far emerged scratch-free, even though she has repeatedly ripped Obama for his handling of the Islamic State’s terrorist campaign.
She’s long been given a pass – maybe because she’s a woman, although Sarah Palin may argue the point. Perhaps it’s because she is a Democrat, or the first American Samoan elected to Congress, or its first Hindu member. Or maybe it’s because she is a combat veteran, fighting in Iraq in 2004 with the Hawaii Army National Guard.
Whatever it is, Gabbard’s Teflon shield remained firmly in place Wednesday, when she zinged Obama again for his administration’s insistence that jobs will help defer terrorism, calling it a “diversion.”
“The administration is misidentifying the enemy and their motivation,” she told CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer.
It is a theme Gabbard pushed in an appearance Monday on Fox News, when she told host Greta Van Susteren that Obama’s failure to recognize the enemy was “mind-boggling” and “troubling.”
“We are not recognizing who our enemy is and what’s driving them,” she said.
Gabbard told Van Susteren in January that Obama’s refusal to acknowledge radical Islam is a “real problem.”
“This is not just about words,” she said. “It’s not about semantics. It’s really about having a real, true understanding of who our enemy is and how important that is, that we have to understand what their motivation is and what their ideology is — the radical Islamic ideology that is fueling them.”
Yet, through all the criticism, Obama’s normally vigorous rear guard has remained silent. It’s enough to give every white male conservative American a serious case of envy.

Here is a truly courageous politician willing to break ranks with her Democrat colleagues to criticize the president concerning the policy on national security. She has appeared on many cable and network shows and it is our desire to provide her with our research so that she might lead the charge within her own party to join with others to understand the treachery of Obama because it is not just “a policy disagreement.” One of our supporters personally knows her so we will be pursuing this as soon as possible.
