Abortion is likely going to be an issue that never disappears, as it is tied to major financial, business, and military-industrial complex investments. However, there are many people of good will who oppose abortion and are doing the best that they know to stop it. At the same time, there are also others who want to see more permissions from abortion than ever before. In an example of the latter, at a time when there have been rollbacks to the advancement of abortion and more potential rollbacks for the future, the State of New York has signed the most permissive laws for abortion yet in the nation, and with that the state also has decided to celebrate the willful murder of the innocent by lighting the World Trade Center building pink according to a report:
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) directed that the One World Trade Center’s spire be lit pink overnight on Tuesday to celebrate his signing of a law allowing abortions until birth and letting non-doctors commit abortions.
The law, the Reproductive Health Act, also erases the state’s recognition of preborn babies older than 24 weeks as potential homicide victims.
Cuomo called the bill an “historic victory for New Yorkers and our progressive values.” It was passed on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that brought abortion on demand to every state.
In 1970, New York was the first state to legalize abortion. Cuomo said that he was directing that the 408-foot spire on the One World Trade Center, as well as the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, the Kosciuszko Bridge, and the Alfred E. Smith Building in Albany be lit in pink to “celebrate this achievement and shine a bright light forward for the rest of the nation to follow.”
Statements from abortion supporters suggest they fear how the current Supreme Court might rule on abortion.
“In the face of a federal government intent on rolling back Roe v. Wade and women’s reproductive rights, I promised that we would enact this critical legislation within the first 30 days of the new session – and we got it done,” said Cuomo.
Pro-life advocates lamented Cuomo’s celebration. Lila Rose of Live Action wrote on Facebook, “New York leadership cheers today for the legalization of killing a baby old enough to born – poisoning a 6-month-old to death in the womb and delivering her in pieces. This is the legacy of Roe v. Wade. It’s time to end this barbarism.”
The Radiance Foundation declared, “Already the nation’s abortion capital, New York’s pro-abortion Dems just passed the most radical abortion bill in the nation, earlier today, allowing abortion through the entire pregnancy (to save the life or ‘health’ of the mother).”
Gov. Cuomo, the Radiance Foundation said, celebrated the “unrestricted violence of abortion that treats the unborn with more antipathy than criminals. God help us.”
Obianuju Ekeocha noted on Twitter that the New York state legislature erupted in applause when Democrat-controlled body passed the bill.
The new law also means that women whose unborn babies are killed against their will – in cases of domestic violence, for example – won’t be able to charge their aggressors. (source, source)
For years, people said that one of the reasons the World Trade Center towers were targeted by repeated terrorist attacks leading up to the events of 9/11 was because they were a sign of America and Americanism.
The rebuilt One World Trade Center (OWTC) building is the tallest building in the US, and remains a monument to American power.
Abortion is a sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance, as it is the clearest example of the willful murder of the truly innocent.
What is one to say that the State of New York orders the government to light OWTC in celebration of the most extensive legalization of the murder of babies, up to the point of birth? Indeed, the fact that the light is in the center of the tower and points to the sky would seem to be a simultaneous gesture of giving the “middle finger” to the Almighty in the color so loved by the homosexual lobby.
Indeed, perhaps the events of 9/11 were more prophetic that people thought, and not in the sense of the faux grandeur promoted by American nationalists masquerading as Christians, but as a warning shot of impending judgement on America for her love of sin and rebellion against God.
While there are many people who opposed abortion, the fact that this law was passed is a sign of the disposition of the people, as politicians reflect their constituents.
If the people reject the mercy of God and mock His commandments, going so far as to punish those who seek to follow God, what other option does He have then to let loose His justice, whatever form that may come in?
Prepare yourselves accordingly.
