The president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, has declared that his military is ready to fight American forces, as we read in a report from SANA:

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called on his country’s military to prepare for any US attack against Venezuela.

“The army must be prepared to defend the homeland and its weapons in its own hands if America ever dared to set foot in this land,” Maduro was quoted as saying in a speech to thousands of troops while inspecting a military base in the northwestern state of Sogdis.

“We want our army to work with unity, homogeneity, discipline and absolute loyalty to the constitution, the homeland and the revolution,” Maduro said.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently announced that he does not rule out military intervention in Venezuela
